"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

No worries we're sending Ben Roberts Smith VC. (scandal in progress as we speak..look him up...Its an appalling state of affairs).
I'm gathering a collection of traditional colonial organic handmade Borrissing sticks for Big Ben to take with on his trip to the UK.
With the correct amount of pressure and accuracy I'm tipping he will rid the land of the unsightly and annoying plague of Boris Men.View attachment 1930743
That nasty looking nulla nulla at bottom I found in the toy bin at an op shop for 10bux..its a solid heavy implement with incredible potential to cause injury and damage. It looks a lot like the weapon used by Chingachgook in Last of The Mohicans.
That's a great collection Jon 😎 Hopefully send the Borisers packing! 😁👍

I was admiring that.

I was so young the last time I saw this, I didn't actually realise it starred Chuck Connors! 🤣 I don't know why he bothered picking up the hilt of that broken sword, unless he thought it was made of chocolate! 😂

He puts a point on it and carries it around in his saddlebag so people will know he's a coward and give him reasons to kill them.

I remember those opening credits and the song, but I can't remember anything that happened in any of the episodes of the show! o_O
I wonder if my siblings and I would watch the opening, and when our Mom realized what we were watching, she'd demand that we had to find something "more acceptable". (But I don't remember that sort of parental interruption actually happening, either.)

synopsis for all Branded plots. Goes someplace new. Gets challenged for being a coward. Solves people's problems and shows he is braver than they are. Leaves town.
… and don’t forget the fair damsel that falls for him at least once every six episodes, and the slimy evil puppy kicker he gets to beat the snot out of at least once a week … other than those, yup you got it covered!

This is what I need for knife storage. I wish I felt more confident in my ability to make something like it.

I’ve looked at metal flat file cabinets for knife storage before and think they would be a good option — I’d particularly like to find a cool vintage/mid-century one — but they’re crazy expensive.

Hope you make a good cabinet, Barrett!!
This is an antique I found - shallow Oak drawers!! Easier and cheaper than building one!! Each drawer holds over 30 folding knives!! 9 to 10 wide, and 3 to 4 deep!! 15 drawers!!Drawers 1.jpgDrawers 2.jpgDrawers 3.jpg

I wonder what happened to the "card catalog cabinets" that every library branch used to have before all the records went digital?
I thought that the many small but deep drawers that those cabinets had would have worked well for knife storage, but I've never found one in the 8+ years I've been accumulating knives.
