That's a LOT of snow, Gary! o_O
Back in February or March of 1984, I interviewed for a job at SUNY-Oswego, right on Lake Ontario. I flew into Syracuse, and someone from the college picked me up to drive me to Oswego. The interview went OK, and I stayed in a dorm "guest room" on campus that night, with a flight out of Syracuse scheduled in the morning. Could not believe how much snow fell overnight that night!! The locals seemed unperturbed, and got me to the airport on time.

Nothing to do with snow - just replying here to get your attention. Check your email and profile page  ;)

Gary, I did a lot of contract and design for SUNY back in the day. I spent many days at the Oswego campus. Did they show you how they tie ropes between buildings, so no one gets lost in a snow storm when it gets bad? I kid you not.

I didn't see any ropes, but that sounds familiar. I think a student I talked to at breakfast (after each of us appeared at the dining hall out of the ongoing snowfall) may have mentioned it, but I filed it away as a "campus legend".

There's some that insist it was just a legend. I had some friends that went there, and legend or not, they told me they were glad to have them there when the wind was 60 mph, and the snow coming off Lake Ontario was so heavy you could barely see your hands in front of your face.

Been wondering why the Imgur account has suddenly taken to saying This image is no longer available...when looking at my pix in the archive? I haven't deleted them, strange ?

Is this on recently posted photos/posts, or on old posts? Can you share an example?

No, it's not as far as I know concerning posts I've made here or elsewhere but simply when I go to the Imgur account to look at my pictures. Some of them have this mysterious No longer available blacked out effect, but days later they're OK. Enough to induce PARA-noia :poop::D

They haven't done that to me yet. Probably setting me up for something worse.

I haven't noticed anything like that yet.

Every year I think maybe I'll get a pumpkin. This year it seems like a good project for the Bayou Ace.

Sounds like a Burt Reynolds movie.
