"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Looks like after 75 years in NY except for a short time in grad school, I'll be relocating to a spot on the Quinnipiac River in Connecticut. No time like the present to start a new chapter in life.

a spot on the Quinnipiac River
Sounds nice. I have relatives in Connecticut. They like it there.

The Quinnipiac River as we know it today began forming at the close of the last ice age, about 21,000 years ago.
Hmmm....Don't think I remember that.

Change is inevitable and usually good. I appreciate your reasoning and willing spirit. After getting settled you'll look around and know that your new location was worth the effort it took to accomplish. Enjoy the adventure my friend!

Or maybe a black box Winchester coffin jack. Don't know where they were made but Winchester was in downtown New Haven.
Of course the "Black Box" knives were made in Titusville, but an original Winchester would be a Ct. knife!!!

Ever reached for your knife and realized that you left it where you staged a “Whatcha Totin’” picture? I am slightly ashamed for myself.
Talk about getting your pulse racing and taking your breath away. It doesn't happen often, but reaching down and not feeling your knife in your pocket where it's supposed to be gives quite a fright.
