  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Maybe not with Spam Lite!

I sliced regular Spam, about the size slices Charlie did, and got wavy slices, unlike with my lambsfoot, laguiole, trapper, or Opinel.
Anyway, nice job of slicing thin--I never cut Spam that thin! Maybe I'll try it. I bet the verijero Gaucho knife (like CelloDan CelloDan 's) that I have on order will slice like a champ!
:D

I don't know about spam but corned beef just crumbled at the sight of our BF 2019 ☺️
I've got to try it with my Verijero now lol

Yesterday's antiquing haul.
The long thing was marked "corn knife", agricultural rather than pedacurial, I presume. Sharp on the straight edge.
I bought the big carver for the wonderful alligator carving, but I suspect the handle is actually molded composite.
The flamboyant shiny one is a Cataraugus.
(The clock has lost less than 1.5 minutes in over thirty hours; not too shabby for a windup.)
I also found a hickory cane on sale, which was good because I'd left the house without one and there were a lot of stairs.
