Probably will not happen , but thanks for saying that Charlie .
mrknife mrknife : When I was a younger guy , I never thought I would live past 60 . People back then mostly died of Old Age . Now most have have a reason . Well we have been married for over 60 years . I think that is probably caused by all the preservatives they now put into everything ?????? LOL

Harry

that Spam does taste good!

The main difference between 'old' and all the others is this:
If you remember being a kid and asking 'how old will I be in the year 2000?...and working it out to 30 something...and not being able to imagine being that old...then you are officially old.

You were very optimistic Harry, I never thought I'd make it to 20! 😁👍

A few days ago I saw a TV commercial which informed the world that maple flavored Spam was coming this fall. A WWW search for more info led me to America's favorite fishing hole which had cases of "New" maple flavored Spam in stock and available for immediate shipping. Y'all probably have already heard, I just wanted to be sure you were aware of this amazing development in the processed food industry.

I'm keeping my 86 sharp for the initial taste testing.

Anyone having already sampled this exciting new product, I'd appreciate your feedback. 🙂

As I read this, I could hear my dad saying, "What a waste of maple syrup".

I resemble this remark.
I remember trying hard to imagine it. "I guess I'll be a grown-up lady, and won't run around barefoot and have scabs on my knees." I'm pleased to report it hasn't happened yet.

dont think too deep into it, ruins the magic of spam. growing up under less fortunate circumstances, just plain sliced and fried spam was dinner at least one a week. fried spam with eggs and onions was a luxury.
Spam is trendy once again and rightly so being as utile as it is. In my childhood home it was good for any meal of the day. Sliced thin and fried crisp it was often chosen over bacon or pork sausage for breakfast. Prepared the same way but placed between toasted bread with mayo, it made a tasty luncheon sandwich. Boiled with cabbage it was a hit at the dinner table. Leftovers either cold or hot made a delicious late night snack. It's no wonder it's been called the miracle meat and it's sales record are being broken year after year.

I remember it well Jack! Well, except for the roller-blading ;)

We used to have fake Spam, known locally as 'Pink Lint'!

now that is a recipe ive not tried! boiled with cabbage! its a very versatile meat product, I was blown away with the variations i saw at a convenience store when i was visiting Hawaii and even more amazed at the shelves of variation they had in japanese 7/11s. the options we have here, just plain spam or low salt in the regular supermarkets is different from the options in the asian supermarkets.
