"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Hey!!! Santa's human too!!! Isn't he????
🤣
He travels round the entire world distributing presents to everyone...down the chimney....on a sleigh....drawn by flying Reindeer.....all in one night.....but he needs to stop for a dump?? At least he could use a toilet in a rich house...rather than a stinky outhouse...

Blimey, been over a month since I looked in here!

I had to re-wash my new thermos. Turned out there was a substantial leaflet insde it.

Nice blade, and a great Thermos, Jer! I'm pretty sure I recall my dad had one of those Stanley's 60 years ago. It went on more fishing trips then I can count! I've got one in black that's gotta be 40 years old. I don't remember if they had a substantial leaflet inside them or not! :D ;)

Thanks!
My leaflet dried out. Just remember that forceful ejection of contents and lid can cause injury.
RiverRat had the classic series on huge discount. I paid $23, instead of the 50 or 60 I've seen elsewhere. Just when the one my sister gave me decades ago had proven itself to be no longer thermal.

The blade is an Ontario Morta, which I never heard of till I stumbled on it being closed out.
I think the coating is silly, but if I ever have to invisibly interdict someone in a brightly lit confined space, I might be rolling my eyes toward the other side of my face.

I like this Old Fashion Horehound Stick Candy, but I haven't been able to find any yet this year. Last year, about this time, I purchased 3 boxes, but that only lasted me into the spring... guess I'll have to get 6 or 10 boxes if I can find it this year.

Last year's picture.

Anyone else like this candy?

google is your friend...
I found probably 10 places online that sell it.... amazon has it...

Maybe ask to have this moved to Carl's Lounge? Someone sent me some horehound candy (not in stick form), and I really enjoyed it. Interesting flavour. I've never seen it on sale in England :(

I forgot about carls lounge. This would fit better in there. So, if a mod wouldn't mind moving it.

I've imbibed Wild Turkey, but never had it roasted!! ;)
I wonder what it tastes like???:rolleyes:View attachment 2415733View attachment 2415734
I've had the liquid Wild Turkey, but not the bird. If at some point in my life I can't buy a turkey at the market, I might get out my scatter gun! :D
Charlie, years ago I was at a thanksgiving dinner where roasted wild turkey was served and it was delicious! One of my all time favorites. 😋
Sounds like a good meal! I figure there were near 20 turkeys in my yard. I ought to be able to shoot at least one!

The only meal I've had, shot in a back yard (not by me!), was a black Bear that got too close for comfort!! Fattening up for winter, the bear made great pot roast, after cooking for a few hours!! My ex-wife was a great cook!! (So is my current wife of 46 years!! I see a pattern here!!)😋😁
