"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Congrats my daughter just turned 14 months & I've been carrying my peanut everyday for 13 months ( my first gift from my daughter ).

Aww what a cutie!
You know, it seems like yesterday that my boys were that age. Now my oldest will be off to college this fall, it goes so fast.

Savor every minute of time you get to spend with your daughter, I've been very lucky to have done so with my sons :)

She's a sweetheart, and you and the Mrs are to be congratulated for sure,
but I am going to move this to the Lounge.

Great pics Medicevans. Happy Birthday to your daughter :)

Brian!

Congratz to that wonderful daughter. That pics are just great. She´s really a sweetheart. Thanks for sharing! :)

Cute as a button, my baby sister (I'm 33 and she is 15) is always called peanut or little bird by my father. I got her a simple peanut a couple years ago, and she uses it when she can, usually outside. Just think of this, when she gets married, you'll get more short people.

Man, it's been a bit since I have posted here; there is so much to catch up on!

Just thought that I'd let you all know some exiting news: I finally DEP'ed in to the Marine Corps and will be leaving for boot Feb 25th!
After months of ridiculous delays, paperwork issues, etc...I finally got a ship date...

Looks like I won't be posting until this summer, just in time for bikini season
I still have s bit to wait, but I had to tell someone!

I love this place, I'll see you all again this summer.

Thank you for your willingness. Take care my friend. See you again this summer.

Kevin

What music do you guys listen to? Vanguards giveaway thread was a great thread, just seeing what everyone listened to. My two loves are bluegrass and Texas blues, but I have no problem blasting Metallica coming across the mountains two o'clock in the morning on the way home. I grew up on the oldies at my fathers shop, country too. Local rock station 98 Rock, got me interested in Metallica, Soundgarden and the Offspring. There is always room for classic rock, and blues rock is one of my favorites. You just can't beat the old timey bluegrass, or the blues (alright, Memphis, Delta, Chicago, Texas etc).

I agree! I like the good ol' school rock very much. Bands like Motörhead (my alltime-fave), Ramones, CCR, The Clash, ZZ Top, Iron Maiden and whatever comes in mind is great - just great. Today when driving home from work, I listened to The Ramones.

Blues is something I like to listen, when I´m at home and alone. A little strange, maybe but that´s how it is.

Wow... Ramones & The Clash live... that would be a dream ... unfortunatelly in those years I wasn´t even born ;)

Well, about Motörhead - I saw them already four times 2000, 2006, 2008 and 2010 ... each time in Munich and it was a great concert everytime... :D

Indeed! :D

Fantastic! But did you see them with Girl's School? ;)

(I think Lemmy is probably as old as my dad! :D)

No - unfortunatelly not. Girlschool are a great band, too. I read the autobiographic novel of Mr. Kilmister and he was born on 24th December 1945.

But Lemmy survived them all.... Bon Scott, Jimmy Hendrix, Janice Choplin etc etc... and he will survive many more :D :D

Definitelly ... for sure... :p

And telling something with content; the autobiography was called "White Line Fever" - just if there is interest.

A reference to his love of motorcycles and the open road no doubt :D
