Charley, I admire how your wife and you just "live in the moment".
Although 47 is a prime number, maybe it's not nearly as memorable as next year's anniversary will be.
You could think of next year as your first 48 years together (1x48), or 2nd 24th anniversary (2x24), or third 16th (3x16), or your fourth 12-year anniversary (4x12), or your sixth 8-year celebration (6x8). And then you could add "turn-arounds" for all of them (eighth 6th, twelfth 4th, sixteenth 3rd, twenty-fourth 2nd, and forty-eighth first). How could anyone possibly forget THAT anniversary!

I wanted another knife, but I had a hard time finding a knife I wanted. I have several cool knives in a certain shopping cart, but do I really want this one for that much when I don't carry these similar ones I already have?
Do I want a fixed blade at all, when I can't carry one in my state unless it's a hunting knife being used for its purpose, and if I get in my car without stowing it out of reach I'm carrying a concealed weapon? (Something had to be done about all those drive-by stabbings nobody ever heard of, I guess.)
So I ordered a fixed blade pretty similar to a few I already have.
In the words of the prophet, "If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad."

It appears that Bambi kindly pruned my cucumber vines for me last night 
The plastic fencing from the last few years’ gardens deteriorated somewhat, leaving a low spot. I thought the suggestion of a barrier would be enough to deter her from getting inside, but I guess not. Thankfully she left my tomatoes alone.
Apparently she has a taste for jalapeño plants as well:
I used some wire and scrap lumber to block off the gaps - hopefully she stays out tonight.

In my parent’s neighborhood, the deer problem is even worse. I think somebody must be feeding them again - this one came right up to me the other day when I went to check on the place:
