Darren McGavin was in a series with Burt Reynolds in ancient times. Burt said Darren was going to be very surprised three days after his death.
Simon Oakes! Was that Kolchak's editor in Nightstalker? Carol Lynley as the girlfriend in the pilot movie.
D. McG. was good as Murphy Brown's dad, too.
He was in a movie I only saw a bit of, where the US and China agreed to avert an all out war by leaving it to their meanest jungle-fighters alone on a tropical island. Mc Gavin died of the other guy's poisoned razor blades shortly after killing the other guy. And refusing to send the signal to prove our side won.
