"Curious NZ: South Pacific Pale Ale 3.9% Curious NZ is an all New Zealand hopped version of our flagship pale ale Curious. Same ABV, same defined malty character but with a deliciously moreish tropical hop character derived from 5 different NZ hop varieties. Expect Passion Fruit, and Lychee on the nose and bright sauvignon-esque Gooesberry flavours on the palate. Its Curious the same but different…"

ScruffUK would have hated it! :D

Your hat as well as your heart eh pal? :)

Indeed, Jack. She's away trying on dresses and what not tonight with her mother. So me and a mate are about to retire to my garage for a game of pool and to finish off this...

... which should never have been stoppered up again. (Island tradition, once a bottle is open, it gets emptied.)

Believe it or not it's half full, although you can't tell from the picture. It's the palest blend I've ever had but it is oh so tasty and peaty and smooth and peaty and subtle and peaty and refined and peaty and there's a little hint of peat too.

Well now, doesn't that explain a lot. :p

All well and good, but

1) Does it taste peaty?

2) How'd you get them to put your picture on the bottle?

Ack! lest you all think i have disappeared from the face of the earth, or at least bladeforums. My internet has went the way of the dodo. After 8 days and multiple online sessions with my wireless provider we are no closer to a resolution. Therefore I have made the decision to switch from wireless to cable modem. Hopefully the equipment will arrive as early as next wednesday. So hopefully i will be back sometime next week.

just gotta say, gotta love books-a-million and their free wi-fi
:)

ps. I still edc'ing my wenger SI
its still a good 'un!

Had a first last night, a mate took me fishing off the rocks at the end of our village where he's building his house.

I've never fished before and beginners luck was with me, I caught two mackerel.

Used the eureka for the gutting, and the head and tails. The big spear blade wasn't an ideal shape it must be said and I wouldn't have picked it but it just happened to be in my pocket. Happily though, it is razor sharp and worked out ok.
Fishing, it appears is a another good way to enjoy the contents of a hip flask. :)

Hey Paul, sounds like a nice time! Glad you had the proper kit (a good knife, and a flask of whiskey, are essential!), and glad you had fun. I love fishing, however seldom I get to do it these days.

Sounds like a good time Paul

I've spent the past few days editing and then uploading all the pics I took at Sheffield's Kelham Island Industrial Museum last week. Am I glad that's over!

Jack, I really enjoyed reading the museum tour. I haven't been there in about 20 years and they have improved it a lot by the looks of your pictures. Seeing the huge converter on the way in is one of my strongest childhood memories.

Thanks for posting it.

Cheers Paul, and that's great :) Let me know if you're ever in the area
