Saw some liquor discussion up there ^^ and wanted to chime in. I waffle back and forth on scotch, but I'm mostly a bourbon drinker. If anybody is looking for a pretty damn good bourbon for an even better price, check out Big House. At my local store it's ~$20 for a bottle, and very very drinkable.

Also, I didn't realize we had so many Columbus folks in here. Has there ever been a Central Ohio meetup?

There are quite a few of us, and if there ever was a meeting here I didn't know.
I saw big house the last time I was in the liquor store, but it looked new and I wasn't sure which distillery it came from.
 
Thought you folk might be interested to see a couple of wee things I picked up on my travels today. I don't know if anyone remembers the Valet Autostrop Razor made by the Autostrop Razor Co of New York. A bit before my time, but I found half a dozen blades. Also came across this British penny from 1785 :)

Just picked up my phone to call the car shop this morning and saw seven voicemails on it...I never get calls. My Mother fell and broke her pelvis and shoulder yesterday and goes in for surgery today at 4 PM...sometimes I really hate being 900 miles away from family...
 
Prayers man. My grandmother broke her hip a couple years ago, and has been downhill ever since. Tell her to remain as active as she can be.

Thanks for the kind words guys, she goes in for surgery today at 4PM, and she is not a good candidate for anesthesia...

I hope and pray she will be ok soon and for a fully recovery!

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers for my mum, she came through the surgery with three pins in her pelvis and is in ICU. At least the worst should be over now...

I just noticed this, i did see you say that she came out of the surgery ok and has some pins.

by the time I'm writing, your mum should be already stable in the ICU, but prayers will keep coming from overseas as well.

FLYER...Very good news that!...Im pleased your mother will be fine now..I have the greatest respect for the elderly,especially our mothers...........FES
 
Good to read that she is recovering and made it through the surgery well. Activity is the best medicine! Of course, not right now.
