"If I looked like those two punters even I'd be wearing trousers!"

I hope you'll indulge the proud new "papa" showing a couple more images...

(Hopefully somewhere "Smoky" is smiling down on us.)

Very beautiful Elliott. One thing I like about short-haired dogs is that their muscle tone shows and Skyler's muscle tone is perfect. She looks very sleek and powerful. God bless you for taking in a shelter dog.

Oh, just one thing. As regards y'all's conversation above, Sailors wear 13-button Bell Bottoms. If you've ever had to find a head in a hurry, you have to apppreciate the nimble dexterity a Sailor must have with his fingers.

Ed, that's very kind of you to say, I'm truly touched, thank you. (And I'm sure that many here would hasten to add that I'm "touched" in more ways than one. :p)

She is quite the athlete and I suspect that she'd be quite good at agility training, Perhaps at some juncture I may look into it.
(There's a facility near one of my friend's homes about 20 minutes out though I understand it just changed hands so I'll talk to my vet (and neighbor) who is apparently connected with the site when they need a vet's services.)

LOL! It might have happened, I cannot recall ever hearing anyone actually using the word, anymore than "gadzooks" or "verily"! :D

But then I never knew Terry Thomas (what a bounder!) :D

That exchange has been rattling around in my head for a lot of years.

For all I knew it dates back to between the wars. Say when Scott Fitzgerald was drinking with Noel Coward at the Cabaret Au Lapin Agile.

Or maybe some wag invented the whole thing. :p

Yeah, I knew about the addition of the zipper. Sad really. Another tradition down the tubes.

Trust a yank to screw up tradition too.

Did Carl's Lounge turn into whine and cheese? Wow, I'm Scottish and that's too much for me! More dog pics please!

Stopped by Tractor Supply Company to get some horse and dog feed this evening. Picked up a copy of their free magazine "Out There". Cover story was about a custom long gun maker that crafts muzzle loaders. Flipping through the magazine found an article on Case knives. Basically a neat article about Case trappers, specifically yellow trappers which his father collected. The son amassed his collection but kept his fathers pieces as basically table ornaments to remember his father. Neat article about old Case knives.

Carl, those two might end up road kilt...

Road kilt, what's served for dinner when the freezer is getting low :D
Elliott, such a joy to see that li'l sweety wrapping her new Papa around her pinkie toes ;) she has such an expressive presence in the photos
