"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Thanks to all for the good thoughts and smoke...

..."Hurricane Skyler" has returned with a vengeance. I don't think I'll be getting any rest anytime soon. She's a whirlwind of insanity.

Other than that...she'll be on a mild diet for a few days with some antibiotics and back to the fray.

Thanks again to you all. It's good to be able to vent here. (Oh, can anybody loan me a dime? :p)

Glad everything's turned out OK Elliott, and thanks for letting us know

Dime? Get out of here ya bum! :D

Glad to hear "Hurricane" is up and flying again. I can fully emphasize. Beautiful critter btw.

Andi, is zonked out on the floor behind me. Yes, folks. I named her Andi so when someone says, "Hey, AMOS! Where's Andy?" I can reply with, "Right here. BITE EM, girl!" :D We say her middle name is Middle, because she always seems to get in the middle. Middle of the bed, middle of the floor where you walk, the doorway....

Oh, and Elliot I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Ah, Wimpy...a man after my own heart.

Thanks, fellas.

(This may be the most expensive turkey dinner on record. At least in this neck of the woods.)

Just saw this, smoke and prayers going out from NEPA for the little girls family and for Skyler too Elliot.

Thank you, brother. Since she's gotten home it's reminded me of the maxim to "be careful what you wish for"... LOL!

Glad to hear your gal is doing well. Old people are shuffling about here, and giving young dogs hell if they end up on his cot. His kiss my butt attitude has kept him going this long.

Speaking of 'hurricanes', Scotland and the Scottish Islands are currently being buffeted by 100 MPH winds. Hope you're OK PMEW, stay safe

Yes, its a bit blowy here too.

Stay safe Paul and you too Jack, I know some areas of Leeds have been closed off, i.e. Bridgewater Place.
Might have to re-think our choice of hostelry!

Thanks pal. Ah, yes, indeed, Yorkshire's tallest building creates wind problems at the best of times.

And who doesn't like a good buffet?

I'm sorry to hear about struggling pooches; SHS, your perspective (and tremendous love) is heartbreaking, and exactly what your dog needs.

Elliott, your dime's in the mail.

(So glad the Great Escape wasn't even more costly.)

~ P.

Thanks, guys. And those of you who need to...keep the hatches battened down.

Skyler's settling in well. Snoring on the couch as I type. She's let us know who's in charge and looks like she is well on the mend.

Really appreciate the good wishes you all sent to our girl.

Elliott - Glad to hear your pooched is now being properly pampered :) Hope she's soon causing havoc again.
