Congrats!
I had to go back and find the earlier post in which you ID'd this as GRANDchild. You had me wondering exactly how you were managing such a production rate.

LOL! I did wonder for a few seconds myself Frank! :D

Addylo, congratulations!

As for a whole passel of kids, my fathers mothers mother had about 16 or 17 kids, I believe only 12 or so survived.

I'm having a duff week. First I talked myself out of buying a Land Rover pickup which would have been an investment. Then I found a fantastic deal on the exchange forum that got too complicated and I had to let it go. Then I found a lovely Moore Maker congress but the website wanted $65 just for shipping!

I'm away to pour myself something strong and peaty.

Well, see you all in 5 days or so. Headng back down to Atlanta for our Aunt Jane's 88th birthday. No wifi at Aunt Janes, so I'll be in silence for a while. Good part is, I'll be getting together with some good old Georga knife carrying folks, so we'll compare stuff. :barf:

Carl.

Enjoy the break Carl and Happy Birthday to Aunt Jane! :)

Carl, safe travels. Hope you guys can keep some warmer weather down there. Give Aunt Jane a hug from all of us here. It's an accomplishment!

I am going to start my own thread this weekend with pics, but I have to share this. Last week, in the peanut comedy thread, I made the statement about wanting a damascus GEC Pemberton. Duane, our very own Sitflyer, messaged me and asked if I wanted a damascus single blade Case peanut. I am stunned by the generosity of those here. I am a man with big paws, but I have come to respect the small peanut pattern. I even started using mine more for tasks lately. Carl had given me a small single blade Remington peanut, made by Camillus, which is my office knife. Outside of work, I carry larger pieces. This is a 1989 5120D single blade damascus peanut, and I am in awe every time I look at it. The damascus is subtle, but if it catches the light just right, you'll get mesmerized. And it cuts like a lightsaber. I have it set aside right now, I don't want to lose it, but I am eager to start carrying it. Might carry it with one of my Bose collaborations or my Oeser as a dress carry knife.

I'd just like to publicly thank Duane for this great little knife. These small knives continue to amaze me in their utility. Even diabetic neuropathy and clumsy hands can't affect the use of these little knives if you "grip" them correctly.
