Now that is an interesting twist on a timeless classic! I assume there will be a Philips bit on the opposite side as well?
No swelling, useful blade shape, wire stripper notches, what's not to like!?! Thanks for the pre-release teaser Scruff :)

I'm pleasantly surprised by it, I figured they wouldn't elaborate on synthetic handles much more, this one looks very utilitarian, and the blade profile seems like it would be less delicate than the conventional Opinel, not that it isn't good enough.

if it tastes anything like it smells..... ;)
When I was a kid, a big brother convinced me I didn't like mushrooms. Finally tried them as a teen. All those years I missed out. I learned I'll never really know until I try. There is literally nothing edible I do not like, and I've tried some weird things in weird places. Of course I have favorites, but I lake everything I've ever tried. Got to try it, else you will never really know. I'm willing to try something before I declare it unfit for my palate. I remember the mushrooms. So again, if you are unwilling to try it, don't be so willing to trash it.

Someone needs to lighten up and take the tongue in cheek comments in stride, methinks. (And now, back into to my cave...too much light hurts my eyes.)

Hey Elliott, did you at least see your shadow? :D :p

Funny you mention that as I was going to add a remark about seeing my shadow.
(My observation tells me that we're in for more precipitation....mostly in the form of rain, mud and slush, (with occasional snow), primarily in my driveway which is a bear to climb once the slick stuff hits.)

Sorry to hear that, down here in the flat lands, its sunny and warm today, with a strong chance of a cold front whipping through later producing severe weather...nice to see you posting :)

Hope things aren't too rotten with the weather there Elliott. Get back here soon :)

That's right Duane. Finally an Opinel I like the look of.

I might have accidentally pre-ordered two :o

I am so glad that they went back to the drawing board on this idea! That is such a fantastic piece if kit now. A knife, that also is a tool. I'll bet a nickel that these go off like hot cakes! I can see why it was tempting to pre order a couple. Thanks again for showing these here :)

I'm done with winter. I don't think my thoughts on the matter would be swayed if I didn't shovel a hundred yard path to the tractor at the end of the driveway. I'm actually welcoming the mess we'll get this weekend. 60 degrees with rain, melting two feet of snow. Yep, thank God for 4WD.

Yes Dan, think of the bright side of it: you don't have t shovel rain!

I thought I was gonna have the big vapor lock this past snow. Too wet and heavy for this old fart. I just may have to sell off the homestead and slink off to Key West for the sunset of my years.

A coworker was buried yesterday. Died last Thursday after shoveling snow. Finished and went inside and died of a heart attack. He was 63.

Not to change the subject but we just found out today that grandbaby #7 is in the oven. And #6 is due any day now.

Just had to share that. Life is good!
