"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

I never thought you sounded rude :)
I'm a bit sports fan (in the general sense of the world) and I find it very good when someone brings up the strong points of any sport. Also, I should have expressed my point better in my earlier post. By the way, and. For the record, the only sport uniform that I bought (in Twickenham in 2007) and own (aside from my own sport of course - I still keep every uniform I have used in my "career") is a rugby shirt (not Scotland though :p) so no need to be sorry :)
By the way, we'll talk aboutrugby when we meet at the Euro BF meeting ;)

Lewis is cut off. All ferries to and from the island are cancelled. Our power is sporadically going. 60mph winds with sleet/snow.

Just the night for a nice pot of hot stew. The old methods are the best - and they don't fail with the electricity :)

Buckle down and stay safe, Paul! Maybe tell Claire to not go into labor for a couple days. ;)

Enjoy your stew Paul (I've just had the same) and stay warm, it looks like you're well prepared

Best wishes in your battle with the elements, Paul! That stew and stove look delicious and cozy, respectively.

I've been on a spree lately. Buying knives all over the place. So I'm hoping Charlie doesn't have anything planned. I'm hoping Boggs doesn't put anything up because he usually has some super nice knives. I'm hoping Stumps doesn't post anything either.
I'm hoping the rest of you guys don't post anything. Cause I need to take a break. Can I go for six months?
Can I resist the temptation of the Bay?
OK I'll start January 1st. Cause I need to pick up two more knives.:D

This thread needs KNIFE CONTENT or else Gary is going to come by and swat you.

I too have returned to more frequent buying after taking a while off to ponder and philosophize.

My most recent acquistions:

From Boggs, coincidentally that you mention him, through the Exchange Forum, all three of these. His image, but I bought the knives so I copied the image too. Top to bottom: Silver Alox Farmer, Black Alox Pioneer, Olive Green Alox Cadet, all Victorinox.

Also - not pictured - a new Case Copperhead in Barnboard Molasses Jigged Bone, and a Queen #9 Stockman in their ACSB Honey Amber Stag Bone - both from a dealer.

And to top that off, I have a Case 6375 Large Stockman on order, in the Purple Haze jigged bone. Hope that will show up later this week.

I think you answered your own post. You caved before you got to the end of it; reminds me of me. Which two knives are you looking for? Maybe I can help you with that...

What Peanuts do you have? What Case 6375's do you have? Got a Swayback Jack? How about a White Owl? Everyone needs a Sod Buster!

Yes, but you talked about the BUYING process, not the knives themselves. Be thankful you still have your kneecaps.

Hah! I can picture that!
