• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Thanks for the insights and life philosophy. I appreciate learning from your experience.

Carl,
you always find a way to trap me into your life experience. Thank you.
Being on holiday and away from home for a month, I'm also in a "suitcase mode" and it doesn't feel all that bad :)
As for knives, lately an alox Bantam is all I'm carrying (I opted for the "SAK only" strategy on this trip: Classic, Bantam and Climber) but honestly I'm doing fine ;)

Sooo, Fausto, do you often eat the side of a cow for dinner??

:D

And where is the resolza that any red blooded Sardinian would be slicing and dicing his meat with? :)

Fausto...curious as to where you are since the little flag in your potato says "Buffalo Grill"....

Carl,
I'm away from home and I only brought SAK's this time :)

Jake,
I'm on your side of the Atlantic...just on the Southern side of the Caribbean sea ;)

Ahhhh ok, I was gonna say, if you were close to me, I'd meet up with you! (I live a little over an hour from Buffalo, NY) Of course there's also about 17 other Buffalo named towns or cities across the US....so it was a crap shoot. Well I hope you enjoy your time and the weather! I'm sure it's not 17*F like it is here!

Haven't been to NY in years...anyway, while I was cutting the meat and plantain, it was like 35 Calsius outside ;)

It makes me appreciate the summer time that much more! You won't see me wasting a nice day!

Now that right there, is something I could wrap my head around.

Be forewarned, us Vikings are a thirsty bunch!

Seax and Mead I say!
