"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Rob, my deepest condolences and sympathies to you and your family for your tragic loss. In no way could anyone here possibly hold anything against you for your absence. I'm so sorry.

So sorry, Robert. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

I'm pretty new to the porch, and usually am just a lurker. But I cannot imagine the pain Robert, I am very sorry. I will pray for you and your fiance.

Nothing can compare to what you are living Robert. Only time will help you, it will take you a long time but don't loose confidence in the futur.

Old Japanese net floats.

I think you have it, Harry. Looks like Turkey parts to me too.

Did anyone here watch Star Trek? Do you remember the episode the Trouble with Tribbles?

I saw the darndest thing at the grocery store the other day.

I did a double take when I spotted it. I wasn't the only one perplexed, I must've seen at least a half-dozen people stare at it in confusion. Unsure of what they were looking at, they gave the thing a wide berth. As did I.

Perhaps it wasn't a tribble after all. We'll never know. I wasn't willing to get close enough to find out.

LOL! Fantastic Christian! :D Yes, I remember watching that episode as a kid :D

Thank you all for your kind words, prayers and support. We are not losing faith or confidence in our future. We are doing our best to move on. We have determined we will try again but not for a little while. Much love from us to you all!

Is it a bad thing when your friend, who is also a custom knife maker you buy from, posts a meme making fun of your buying too many knives, on Facebook :D.

If it were a real tribble, its cooing would have a soothing effect on the human nervous system.. So unless you're not human, you shouldn't have felt perplexity.
