"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

ABSOLUTELY Randy, Ann will have prayers from North Dakota my friend. Those prayers include Ann, you, your family, the doctors and all staff.

My friends I am requesting thoughts and prayers for my wife Ann. yesterday they scheduled her surgery to have her Aorta replaced November 2nd. This is a major surgery for anyone but particularly hard for a 62 year old woman. I'm a bit worried about her because she is my soul mate whom I love with all my heart.
Thanks so much

Also I have a sales thread for BigBiscuit here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1436898-THIS-ONE-S-FOR-BigBiscuit please consider.
, thanks

Randy my friend - I know all to well what your Wife is Facing, I too Have a Major Aneurysm in My Aortic Arch - just on top of the Heart, my Aneurysm measures at 5.0 now- of which they said when it gets to that stage they would operate immediately - recently they said they were quite happy to leave it to 5.5 - I told my surgeon that I am glad that he is happy. :D

My whole aortic arch needs to be cut off and replaced and at the same time replace my Aortic Valve as well, they were worried that they couldnt operate when I had Cancer because of my heart - well after a 6 & 1/2 hours surgery........here I am - now waiting for the Heart Op

Randy my friend - the things they can do mate- is amazing - what these guys are doing is replacing the battery - your only worry is keeping up with your lovely lady wheb she gets out of Hospital my friend!!

By the way, I saw this morning your for sales Thread for Big Bad Bob - your one of the good ones randy - many thanks, and many thoughts for Ann

Randy, my prayers are with you and Ann, and the family. Heres to hoping for smooth sailings, a quick successful surgery and recovery!

Randy, my thoughts are with you and Ann, and the rest of your family. You too Duncan

Thank you Jack - I too wish all the best for Randy's Wife Ann, I hope that my outlook is not to be taken as making such a serious subject a light thing - if Sue was in that very position I too would be greatly concerned - The things they do today though randy - is amazing, you will see this my friend.

I have had - and have serious things going on with me, but I came to a point where - I am going to live and enjoy - not live in fear of what might be........ and anyway with my protector by my side - Izzy may be old, but even the meanest man killing Python -the rarest of them all ......... The New Zealand Red Back Human devouring Diamond Scaled Python!!!:eek: well Izzy - she may be getting old, like her Dad ( me ) can hardly walk when she gets out of bed in the mornings - until dad ( me again ) gives her a good massage then Walkies - she paid me back big time by catching the elusive Python trying to sneak up on me in my own House when I was on BF!!!

Warning - photos are disturbing!!!

I imagine Izzy has seen off a few Drop Bears in her time too Duncan ;)

Randy, Ann is of course in my prayers as are you my friend. I pray for a full and complete recovery.

Duncan, you certainly are lucky to have Izzy the Protector watching your back mate. :D

Randy, I'll keep you and Ann in my thoughts. I'm sure all will go well!

Duncan, that's a good looking pup you have there! :D

Randy,

I'll try to remember to pray that Ann's surgery and recovery go well, that her medical team will exercise wisdom and perform skillfully, and that you and your family can experience confidence and peace of mind.

- GT

Randy, Ann and you will be in my prayers, both for a successful surgery and speedy recovery and to help keep the anxiety in check in the mean time. Hang in there.

Love your levity Duncan, yet it is laced with Izzy's serious love of her friend and master to the point where she risks her own life to protect yours.

Our Buddy Boy isn't here any more to take care of us but I feel he was instrumental in us acquiring Mocha our rescue Brown Australian Shepard. She caught wind of two menacing Serta mini stuffed Sheep invading our house.

Her alertness and fierce instinct to protect diverted what could have been a serious attack as these mini stuffed Sheep are known for their sometimes lethal and quite painful bites.

Here is Mocha in full stalking mode:

Now for those who are sensitive to graphic pictures please turn away now or shield your eyes.

This is the aftermath of Mochas disabling attack. No legs left on one and the other is rendered sightless. We all can rest easy now.

Randy, we will keep you and Ann in our thoughts.
best of luck to her with her surgery.

You know, when your daughter calls you at 9:30 on a Sunday night and starts the conversation with, "Everyone's all right", it does not bode well for the content of the rest of that conversation.

Rear ended at a stop light by a drunk driver. No injuries, but her car is not drivable. I went to the scene and drove her to her apartment. I have to say that the police officers were very helpful, but it took a while before we were able to go because of the inebriated driver. Everyone had to give statements, and there were multiple cars involved. 05:30 is going to come early tomorrow.
