definitely a nice find! didnt know you guys get that much snow down south! so far its been mild in nyc, and by saying that I probably just jynxed it. we got a little bit last night, but nothing serious so far

Ah, nothing like a puppy getting his first encounter with snow. We only had a light dusting this morning, but Barlow seems to be enjoying it.

Todd, I lived in Little Rock until I was 8 or 9 years old, and your picture takes me right back to my childhood; the handful of times I remember it snowing there, it was never quite enough to completely cover the leaves and grass. :D

Great photo! Barlow sure is a cute little guy!

It used to be the lake would freeze and the lake-effect snow would stop. Not anymore.
But Spring is here! For those of us who start Spring when the days start getting longer.

Got my software for my camera loaded in my new laptop had a picture of some knives spread out on the bar in my camera so I thought I'd use it for a test run so here it is let's see if it works.

Wow! That's some collection! What camera are you using?

Thank you all for the compliments on the picture of Barlow in the snow. He's only eight weeks at the moment and is growing like a weed. Training has be gun and he's a smart little guy, though house training is still pretty sketchy. As for his cuteness, Donna agrees that's what keeps him alive. He's bold, tough, has boundless energy, VERY healthy lungs, and too smart for his own good. Yeah, I can see how his dad can work cattle all day long. He's been a challenge for this old dog trainer, but then maybe I needed a challenge. I'm looking forward to the dog he'll become, and the friend he'll be to us. You haven't seen the last of him, because all of you inspired his name.

I can't tell you all how much this porch has influenced me over the past couple of years. Thank you all for offering me and my new little buddy a place to sit.

Todd, The Porch seems to be one of those places, where - we have our spot, but next to that spot and deservedly so is one for our four legged friends.
I am one of those sad saps who judge people on how they treat animals - it shows their true nature, and I think we have a pretty fantastic place here for just that- real good natured people who really love their furry friends.

I've taken thousands of animal photos in my life Todd. That is without a doubt one of the best dog pix I've ever seen.

You definitely jinxed it Jack.

...

Todd, I sure am glad you decided to get yourself another dog after all!
Everyone's pointing out how cute Barlow is, but I look at that photo and see the "old eyes" that puppy has and I'm thinking to myself, "That's a pic of a dog with a mission! He's serious about whatever he's up to!":D

Todd, what a wonderful looking pup!!! WOW, I look forward to future pics, Barlow is a looker:thumbup:

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Brother Bob (Bigbiscuit) is undergoing a lengthy surgery this Tuesday 1/10/17. BOB and I just spoke and once I got off the phone I realized I had forgotten to ask so I shot him a text asking permission to let all his friends know.

So Bob, myself and so many admire your tenacity, we are all fortunate for your kindness, your generosity and your friendship, keep fighting the fight and know prayers from NORTH DAKOTA are headed your way.

Prayers and good thoughts for our friend, Bob. We're all pulling for you!

Todd, that pup of yours is about as cute as they get! I'll be watching for more pics of Barlow!

I'm glad I have no where to be but home today. I love the snow when I don't HAVE to go out in it. That's a Chickadee in flight, headed for the window feeder. If I'd have known he was going to do that I'd have set a higher shutter speed! That little red spot in the left corner is a male Cardinal getting up the courage to grab a seed.
