Got the internet hooked up today so I am officially back on the Porch. I know it's just been a few months but it seems I have been living out of a box forever. Tonight I am in a very comfortable apartment watching Netflix and typing on my laptop. I want to thank all of you that bought knives from me and the four of you that just sent me a monetary gift (you know who you are) because without your help I would still be digging through a box to find something to wear but tonight everything is hanging in a closet. I have managed to keep most of the knives folks gifted me so I still have somewhat of a collection as well as my prized collection of Glennbad stag modded knives. I did have to sell a couple of gifted knives. The two I had to sell were a 15 Boys Knife given to me by Ron (Half Stop) and a 15 Beer Scout given to me by Shawn (Wurwulf). I asked both of these guys permission to sell the knives and without hesitation they both agreed. Both of these men are stand up guys and true friends. From the anonymous donor from Kansas who sent the care package of knives when I was at one of my lowest points to all of you that PM'd or emailed me and wished me well thank you from the bottom of my heart. Also Mr. Paul Hilborn stayed in touch by text and phone and Jack (Mrknife) whom I have threatened to adopt many times were of tremendous encouragement. And though I had to sell all of my beloved barlows as well as so many others I was able to turn them into a living room set, bedroom set, kitchen table, 43" HDTV, blu ray player, dishes, cookware and so on. My kitchen knives now consist of a Buck 119, 2 GEC H2o's Mrknife gave me some time back and a Spyderco Delica and no one can say "don't use that nasty thing on the food."I hope to settle this thing completely and get at least some of my money back at some point but for now I'm happy and no longer homeless. When I get paid at the end of the month I am going to buy a knife it won't be expensive and most likely a RR or Opinel or a low end Case but with it I will host a GAW to say thanks to all of you for allowing this place to be my internet home and all of you my internet family. By the way if any of you need a set of drums PM me.

^^Agreed.^^Randy, reading your post put a big smile on my face. So glad you are in a safe, comfortable place. It sounds (optimistically) that things are starting to look up for you somewhat, so for that I am so glad.
And you, always the generous one, want to host a giveaway? That is so thoughtful of you to think of others. I'm sure I couldn't talk you out of it, but personally I'd just have you hang on to the money or the knife, and make sure you are taking care of yourself. You've been through so much in the past recent months, and just having you back posting on the forum is enough of a "giveaway" gift. You've been so generous and thoughtful of others, and all that everyone did for you was just returning the kindness and generosity. That's what we do on "The Porch".

Same here, I really enjoy watching the Olympics.I know there's question of whether the Olympics are still relevant in the current time, but I really enjoy them. Happy 23rd Winter Olympiad everyone!
I dug my camera out and thought I'd post some pictures. The first 3 are the remains of my knife collection the rest are of my new home.
