How you like the Tac14? I’ve always wanted to get that or the shockwave but never did. I remember when the shockwave was less than 400 or so. Fairly inexpensive.

I really enjoy it. It's a fun weapon.

If I were 25 years old, I'd probably enjoy it a lot more. As I age, I'm really starting to feel the 12ga loads and the magnum loads in my revolvers.

Mayhem received a new scope mount. This one ("SADLAK airborne" as it was used by US Airborne units) is 3-point fixed mounted, compared to the Basset that I had before (one mounting point, easily removable) - very convenient, but not very robust IMHO.

Still, the Sadlak mount allows use of Irons if the scope is removed.

ferider ferider do you have issues with brass hitting the turret needing to mount the scope on its side? Seems like it sits high enough but I’ve never shot one of those guns to know if they eject pretty high vs out to the side.

Good question; in theory, I shouldn’t with that mount, just put it up like this for safety, and to make it easier to get the bolt out when cleaning. The 6x42 has a simple reticle, so it doesn’t make a difference in use.

I’ve been trying to remember which gun I mounted a scope on it’s side like that with, I think it was an older Savage in .22 Hornet, the bolt throw was so excessive it damn near hit the tube even with the turret out of the way!

I thought that was a terotuf stock, and now I want a terotuf stock. Nice setup man

It's an M14 Fiber Glass USGI stock from the 60s, that was strengthened with Kevlar and covered like this by a 3rd party. Makes it nice and grippy. Don't remember his name and what he covered it with, as I don't have access to my old emails until we move, sorry.

Thanks.

Care to share what rifle you are shooting ? Not many M14/M1a users here ....

Thanks.

The M14/M1 is is a one of a kind, there are many more that can replace it now but its forever a king ❤️

Just wanted to show you guys this awesome sheath I got from cpirtle cpirtle . I asked Chad if he could make me a behind the belt, appendix carry rig for my 38 snubie, and he totally exceeded my expectations. It has a Cape Buffalo overlay, front and back, the craftsmanship is outstanding, and it looks like it will last a long time.
I’m showing it off with my Pirtlemade buffalo, cross draw.
