Carry two knives?

I usually carry 3.
A locking folder clipped to the right friont pocket, Caly3 today (and most days), Slipjoint in the left front pocket, and depending on what I'm driving either a utili-key, small SAK, or Schrade SS1 (USA Original) on my keychain.

I always carry a SAK Cadet in my front left pocket, and some varient of EDC folder clipped in my right front pocket. The SAK is for smaller tasks where I wouldn't want to whip out a four inch blade, especially in public places.

Man I carry three everyday, a fixed blade (RAT-3 today) horizontal crossdraw, a folder ( waved endura today)strong side. and my skeletool.

why you would need more than one folder?

I usually have a folder of some type clipped to my pocket, for fast deployment. When I want to open a package, or whatever it is, I want access to the knife pronto.

Also carry a Victorinox Explorer Plus, so I'll have the tweezer, scissor, magnifying glass, etc.

I carry a keychain multitool (Leatherman Micra, Gerber Artifact, SAK Cadet) and a dedicated go-to blade as a minimum. I tend to use the multitool to pry with, which the Artifact did perfectly. Too bad it was awkward in my pockets, comfort over function over form.

These days, I carry the Micra and a S30V Leek. The Subcom never held an edge long enough, though I loved the size and stout, sturdy nature of it. SAKs are wonderful, but there is more versatility in the keychain LM.

Though, I could theoretically regrind a pico widgey to a bottle opener, and put that on a keychain with a Victorinox Classic SD... light, with a dedicated pry tool and bottle opener.

At my previous job, I used to carry as many as 6.......lol. I carried a spyderco pro grip, a little lockback from frost cutlery, a zippo lockback in a sheath, a sog multiplier, a swiss army knife, and a schrade tough tool. Every one I used in a different function. I used the tough tool pliers for part of the job, one I used for cutting cardboard, the swiss army knife civered alot of chores, you name it. My dad would laugh when I came home from work and would empty my pockets, there would b a big pile of knives. Someties, I am sure I carried even more, but those 6 are what I can remember off the top of my head. I still see them floating around from time to time............

For the past 15 years it has been 2 knives, ALWAYS 2! Like a lot of folks here, I carry a big and a small. My small is usually a slipjoint of some type, although for the past month it has been a Spyderco Persistence, which seems bigger than the specs indicate. I favor the Case large Gunstock pattern for a slipjoints, though I do have a variety to choose from. The small knife does 99% of my daily knifework and I could get by with only it. But the thing is, I don't want to get by with it alone, and thus the reason for my large folder. Although not a great term, the large knife can best be described as a Tactical Folder. I have been switching off between a ZT0205, and a Kershaw G-10 tan Tyrade. But for the past week I have carried my new ZT0500 MUDD. So why carry the large when I could get along without it? I like to carry a unique knife, one you are unlikely to see in someone else's pocket. I carry it because I can. Probably the biggest reason I carry it is because I enjoy having a knife that is so well made, one where everything fits together like it should, and one that operates like a fine watch.

One regular knife, one SAK. One for the tools, one so that I don't have to figure out which blade I'm opening before I can use it.

I carry a slipjoint whenever I'm at work for the simple fact that clips look out of place with slacks. On the weekends, or whenever I'm on my own time, I pair the slipjoint with a modern, one-handed opening folder like my Sebenza. I suppose I don't need to, but I like the versatility that having both a slipjoint and a modern folder gives you.

When I'm working, I usually carry 2 knives, a FB weak-side & a folder strong-side. However, off-duty I usually carry 3 knives. I still have the FB weak-side, folder strong-side, & a slip-joint. The slippie's usually if I'm around people, it's just less an issue. If anything, people comment at how nice it is or something along those lines, if they notice it.

I EDC at least 1 handgun & a weak-side FB, IMHO, is quick to action in case something happens at "bad breath" range.

Of course, we all could probably make do with just one knife, with the possible exception of work.

The Kimura is my "sheeple scarer", and it's also a temporary resident in my left back pocket. I can't take it to where I shop or work because those places are in Maryland. I keep the Kimura on me for somthing to do when I get bored. I sometimes like to sling it aroung when sheeple are around. I think it's hilarious to watch a sheeple piss himself : )

You sir have some serious problems.

IMO you probably shouldn't be allowed to carry a knife in the first place.

Roger999. . .
It was a joke.

I see that you might not be used to people carrying knives, so you ASSume that all I do is try to hurt or scare poeple with them.

I thought I made if fairly clear that it was a joke when I added the ": )". From now on I'll I'll include a warning on the bottom of a post if I meant to add humor.

(This post includes NO humor.)
Sorry, but it is hard to tell when someone is being serious or joking when reading text. I would usually put something like :p or :D:D:D at the end of the post if I'm joking.

When I want to scare the sheeple I just unload a few magazines from my AK-47 into the air. Though I doubt they'll ever let me back into that Chuck-E-Cheese...

Warp,
You sir have some serious READING problems.

IMO you probably shouldn't be allowed to be a member of a forum in the first place.

You should have at least finished reading the thread before you started throwing stones.

I thought I made it clear that I intended the "sheeple scaring" as a joke. I said as much in the post you quoted from and I also clarify in the next page.

You should have been a little less lazy and read one more page before posting.

I don't think that you should be entitled to self defense either.

Roger999,
You have a good point. I'm still figuring out how to post smilies, etc. I'll try to fix the post.

It's an extremely difficult and complicated process, but I'll try to simplify it here.

Smilie posting instructions:

Step 1: Click on the smilie that you want to post.

Most of the time i carry two. C83 Persian, which does most of the job: cut anything and Caly3, the clean knife to cut my lunch (Also I forgot my Persian at home few times, so it is good to have backup knife). Few times a week I carry Kopa cocobolo as well, just to give a workout to my little favorite toy.

No, you sure didn't.

Putting a " : ) " at the end of your post doesn't make anything clear.

Now you know.

One of hte problems with internet/forums communications is an inability to use voice inflections and non verbal cues. There is simply a lacking dimension and sometimes the written/typed word just can't substitute properly.
