Eric, Claudio and I actually started exchanging emails regarding this process. You couldn't find a nicer person, I hope to do this when I have the equipment to make it a little easier. not too keen on the thought of pounding it out by hand.

This has the potential to be one of the best WIP's ever. Definitely subscribed!

I love the look of the first one, but the second one would be better. I second the idea of removing the upper part of the guard though. Would fit much better with the overall idea IMHO. Either way, this is shaping up to be a fantastic idea and I can't wait to see the execution of it.
