Case Tony Bose Collabs pic and discussion thread.

Finally picked up my first Case Bose collab last week. Was unsure waht to expext, but gobsmacked by the quality. Eureka Jack in brown bone.

Got lucky and my long sought after Levine’s 4th edition arrived the same day.

I have a Chestnut Wharncliffe Trapper on the way in the post. I’m sure it won’t be the last Case/Bose collab for me.
Looks great — congrats! 👍🏻

Thank you. Is there a simple explanation of the differences between tb design and a collab?
I am most definitely not an expert but Case has several Tony Bose designs in regular production using Tru-Sharp stainless or CS. The collabs were an annual release limited edition collaboration between Case and Tony Bose using his patterns, higher end steels, and much higher production standards. You can find lots of entertaining and informative videos on YouTube. Enjoy your journey down the rabbit hole! 😄👍

thank you, I assume the collabs are the only ones that say T.Bose on the tang as well.

Yeah, the regular production has TB in the model number.
I think the one I just purchased is TB722013 but it's still a collaboration, or at least I think based on other response above. However, I don't know if T.Bose is actually on the tang from the pics the seller posted. It's a constant state of learning collecting knives. Box shown. I would think it will have T.Bose on the inside side of the clip blade.

I appreciate all the knowledge shared on this form though, it's helped a lot.

The higher end collabs also typically come delivered in a suede pouch to complete the package

The 2013 in the pattern number indicates it’s a 2013 issue. TB means designed by Tony, 7 means wood covers. 2 means 2 blades. Ebony scales have nickel silver shield and pins so they can be sanded flush given the ebony covers. It has relieved stainless steel liners with pinned shield and I think it has a pivot bushing. It leaves GEC knives in the dust. I‘d guess it retailed ~$350 a year or so after issue.

Awesome thanks

I like that dark brown. I think they did a good job on this one, but I do have a few other knives that I'd probably like better in a darker color though. Thanks for the expert advice.View attachment 2065689
In an Ideal World (which it never has been..) I need to get somebody to lend me one of those or the Chestnut Bone version to test it out for a week or two  It's a lot of cash for me to plonk down only to find it's not my thing. On the other hand, it could be just right🐂
