Bad Caution dealing with member Knives&More

No need for me to relax, I'm already relaxed. ;) I would still like him to answer the questions from the last line of my previous post. Speaks to his character...
Your insults and sarcasm don't do anyone just. I am messaging him now to from this to please stop. This will not continue! No need.

I think LNIB is too vague to act on alone. I suggest members ask for the sellers clarification of what LNIB means to them, if it is used and if they care what the exact answer is.

Definitely. IMO, would just be a lot easier if the sellers would forego using the vague term and instead stating exactly what they've done with the knife.

My thought exactly. While I understand the concern, SpydercoPhreak could have handled it so much better. K&M didn't do anything wrong, nor was he scamming anyone. He should have clarified though.

I agree with the term being over used but who are we to say how something is defined. We should all give better descriptions but to open a can of worms in the thread isn't something I agree with.

Did I ever say here or there that he was scamming someone? No. K&M did, however, disassemble a knife without disclosing that fact, and I almost purchased it until I noticed screws missing. It then snowballed from there. No need for you to get involved mate! ;)

I try not to list any knives as LNIB. Maybe handled but unused or something like that, followed by an over descriptive wall of text which I am bad for. I would also like to know in what capacity he is a law enforcement officer at the age of 18. When I went through BLET there wasn't anyone younger than 21.

You do realize that this started because I noticed missing screws in a knife that I was going to buy? I had every right to point that out. I wouldn't call that opening a can of worms, but it did escalate from there.

This. And if he's lying about it, this speaks towards his character and his claims to have great ethics.

My point. Please stop. He has moved on and I recommend everyone do the same.

I have no idea. He said he was in law enforcement. I don't know the guy, so I don't know what he is referring to whether game warden, police office, or student of criminal law. No idea nor do I care to know. He has 100% feedback and who knows what he does for a living or his age, but I think we need to move on. I am moving on and I recommend everyone else do the same.

I doubt he has moved on. Now it looks like he's avoiding the elephant in the room. You're welcome to move on. ;)

I don't know the guy either. And yeah, maybe he has 100% feedback right now, but we've seen scammers here start with perfect feedback, then go on to bilk folks for thousands of dollars later on, so that feedback on a new member is somewhat meaningless IMO.

Also, his profile shows that he's 18 years old (Born Nov. 7, 1999), and once this all escalated, he began claiming to be in law enforcement. I highly doubt both are true, and someone should not claim something such as that if it's not true. ;) Training to be a LEO or lawyer is not being "in law enforcement".

I just named examples. I have no idea. I am an accountant. Dude you really need to stop. You are just making your self look bad. Peace!

And I'm an aerospace engineer, but that has zero bearing here. I'll stop once I'm satisfied that this has been run to ground, thank you very much. I've been here since the beginning, and I actually care about this community, so I'm fairly confident that what I am doing here doesn't look bad to those that matter here. Thanks for your concern though.

Everyone member on Bladeforums matters here. They are all important as they help Bladeforums and the health of the knife community. I have been an avid outdoorsman from the beginning so I care just as much. That comment of yours shows ignorance. The only thing you are achieving is discrediting yourself.

Thank you! I will ensure to mark it as such from now on. However, it was not made clear to me. The knife was never used to cut anything, never ever carried. I do have a question though. Why is taking off the scales and cleaning inside any different than actually using/carrying the knife? Thanks!

The difference is that when you take the scales off more often then not you just voided the warranty. Carrying it or cutting with it still keeps the warranty intact.

That is fine with me. Thanks. I just think that accusing me of something is wrong. I immediately removed the post as soon as you brought up the complaint. I have ZERO intent of screwing anyone over. If it was marked NBIB, NEW, or BRAND NEW I never touched the knife except to post pictures. I swear on my life and family's that I am a trustworthy, ethical person that would never deceive anyone.
I'd like to note that in this situation you'd be better off just saying the condition of the knife (e.g. "never used but I removed the scale and adjusted the pivot") instead of saying something like LNIB. As others have said, any sort of disassembling often voids the warranty which affects the value. This is not reddit so you aren't required to grade the knife on a scale, but you do have to accurately describe the knife.

K&M didn't do anything wrong
Um, yes he did. 99.9% of the members here will agree that disassembly of a knife should be disclosed in a sale. @Knives&More was very much in the wrong for not disclosing that fact. Then, when brought to his attention he got pissy. Not a good way to act here.

I'll also add that it would be good for you to take note of this situation so you don't end up in the same boat. You've been here 5 minutes and you are telling people to move on with an issue that is actually quite serious. Not a great start.

As soon as you notified me of my mistake, I immediately removed the knife from the forum. Yet, you're trying to misrepresent me as a bad person and defaming me. That is not right. Nothing I will say nor do will change anyones mind.

If a knife has been disassembled then it must be disclosed. Didassembling a knife would mean the knife should not be listed as NIB or LNIB.

Warranty only applies to the original owner anyways. So when you sell it to anyone, it is automatically not under warranty.

Whatever you've done with an item you are selling you should disclose it. Acronyms aren't good enough. Take this exact situation as an example.
