Both that marbled CF for the 940 and the ?colorburst? on the Ritter grip a few posts ago are AMAZING!

Thanks. I think the colorburst you refer to is probably the FadeX material from Beyond Wood Products. It was a limited edition they did and I was very fortunate to get a piece of it. Enough to do only a few inlay sets. Hording the last bit of it for myself.
 
I reground the blade and did an acid stone wash finish on my mini grip. I'm pretty pleased with the results for my first attempt at any knife mods. It's a great slicer now.
Thinking about some micarta scales at some point when the budget allows.

I figured I may as well throw these up here. A few guys over in the General Knife Maker's Discussion (sub-forum) gave some pointers on how to do the tortoise shell and 24K gold leaf. I still have to finish up the other scale, but I'm pretty happy w/the result, so far. (And a big shout out to DOAT & Keyman for all of their help over the past several years).

(With my elephant ivory 943. The BK blade will go on the new knife.)
