Yep, controlled fed are great, pre 64 M70 Win has it too. I already have two 6mmRem rifles and a .243, but nothing really in the quarter bore category. A .270, but that's not .257. I am considering a heavy varmint taper Ruger M77 in .257Bob AI, it will be a good match with the 6mm M77 Varmint I already own. I had a Mauser 98 (orbendorf action) in .22-250 that sold to a friend, but I like bigger bullets for pigs and deer but small enough for squirrels.
Maybe I'll pick up another 1917 and build up a .257 around that. Just too many choices for good actions! Kinda like picking which DFK to get, they're all so great!
