Evening fellas!
I'll be in chat in a little while after the wife and kid are in bed. I've got home based internet again! Just wish my house wasn't built like a faraday cage with lathe and plaster, wifi isn't strong enough out in the shop. Currently sitting under th almond tree its 64*F out, moon is full and I have the pellet gun cocked, locked and ready to rock on some rats! Did a bit of squirrel and rabbit shootin with it today as well, over at the mother in laws house. They have been skittish, running just a tad out of range. I tried boosting pressure another 100 psi and it was bleeding off pretty quick back to normal pressures.
I did find the sweet spot for power and pellet in this pistol, though! Managed to group 5 shots standing, off hand with custom iron sights into 2.5" at 30 yards with a 5 knot breeze at full value! I was impressed for sure! Amazing how picky an air gun can be with the brand and style of pellet it likes best. It will make little clover shaped holes when I'm shooting 10 meters indoors, so to have a grouping like that from a pistol, off hand in hunting situations at distances beyond normal is actually quite decent!
