Rolf takes the u-boat to his bali factory, I hear he has a deck just for flipping and his pet alligator. :D

I have been hand (wet) sanding this evening after a great day in the shop... these tantos are just looking incredible! Rolf, the material you sent me is stellar, I wnt to do a katana with a wrap over the micarta. Much character!

Ironwood...

Morning!

Going to a Father's Day breakfast at my son's school today, gonna sit with him and the rest of the dads/kids at tables barely taller than the knees on a dauschund! Should be fun.

Rolf are you getting this? Rockin' my area like a hurricane lol.

Man the life boats!

Same up here, I don't think my tires have actually made contact with pavement yet. It was a pretty sketchy commute this morning and its not letting up!

Hey Booby and Evan,
Was it like this?:D

More like me making a mad dash with a wet dry vac trying to stop the encroaching waters lol

Ugh, will this day ever end?!

Just seems to be dragging on now. Headed to the coast tomorrow, Santa Cruz, wish it was going to be all fun and beers, but it's for a memorial. Last year I lost a really good friend and fellow sailor, 26 years old. Drowned in the harbor. Either way it will be a good time with lots of the old crew, just wish it was for a different reason.

Two more hours at work....tick.........tock...........tick..................tock..................

Best wishes Xander! ...sorry about the rough day.

Yo!

epic day here with 13 sheaths molded and folder stuff too! Everyone have a great evening!

Thanx guys. It's going to be a good time, but, you know, not totally.

In other news, research and development in my AR15 build is coming along smoothly. Finding tons of very relevant info to my caliber choice and the hurdles I will face with my barrel choice. A 24" barrel for a cartridge designed to excel at 14.5" barrel length (military M4) is kinda like a double black diamond trail, it's been done but not by many and each person has different overall experience with it. I also found some valuable information regarding my .30-'06 which needs work. But, I'm diving into much more theoretical development with this particular AR setup than I ever have with any of my bolt gun builds. My goal is not unobtainable, but it is going to take some work to be feasible. 1000ft/lb.E at a quarter mile is my goal. Currently going to rechamber my barrel to reduce pressure and allow hotter loads, this is my hurdle right now. I love this shit! I'm a numbers guy, research and statistics is my light reading, lol! Just can't wait until load development begins!

Daniel, you gotta get one of these fun guns!

13 on the 13th!

Was there a chocolate brown one in there?? ;)

:D yep chocolate brown! That stuff is way cool, I must buy a sheet! I'm doing the "thumb ramp" too. I should get some pics today.

Xander... rotflmao! not totally...

An AR15 build sounds like a lot of fun, the finishing options alone would be a blast. I'm still wanting to get a black powder revolver just for kicks.

Sheaths today! I'll locate, drill and chamfer the holes first. Then it's time to start cutting the molded Kydex. I used to use a band saw or jigsaw but the heat messes up the edge more than I feel it is worth so I use tin snips. The snips cut cleanly...

I worked more on folders yesterday after the epic molding I did. They are really getting to be a lot of fun now that I have the process down more... just like glueing up fixed blades after a lot of practice the tough stuff gets more relaxing. :D
