Morning fellas! Latcho divvus.

Got a pink notice that the post office has a package for me. Can't wait till I can get there tomorrow to pick it up. :D

Sick! ...what is tramming! :D

Hi FBC ;]

:D lol! Tramming - adjusting the base of the mill with shims to make it as accurate as possible... the Pro-Tram I bought the best and most accurate way I know of! :D I already tram it but this will be much nicer than my current method.

For you guys this means even smoother folders with tighter tolerances all around.

I love Bob Ross's paintings! That dude does sick work!

First I've ever heard of Pro Tram. Huh.

Rock on fellas (get it?!)

lol Bobby! Yeah that's him!

Rolf the pro tram is easy to set up, I just put it in my mill like a cutter then zero it out on a magnet... after that I take measurements and loosen the base of my mill, shim, tram to check, adjust then do the next axis. It takes a bit of time but with this I do two readings at the same time for more accuracy.

Imagine your drill press being a bit crooked at the base, this is just a way of measuring how crooked it is so you can slip paper or metal shims in to straighten it up.

I currently do it with a dial gauge and sweep it across the mill then guess what to do... this eliminates the sweeping which on my mill is just about impossible

Boring stuff but good in the long run!
