yellow chains are not safety chains. they don't have anti kick back features. they are full chisel fuck you up right now super aggro cut shit chains
So uhm, now I'm starting to buy pens. Why am I doing this :'(
Nice. People have been reporting 9+ inches on the lakes 'round here already. This is day seven of a crazy cold snap; last nights low was -37C with the wind chill. Today's high is supposed to be -21C. Not even my husky wants to spend more than 10 mins outside these days. Supposed to last another week. Fishing starts up whenever the temp reaches a more humane level. Plus I picked up a used power auger for a good price a few weeks ago (no more relying on my buddies) that's been calling my name...
Rabbit hole alert.
I promise I'll stay away from the $50+ pens.

How many times have all of us said that about everything?
Rabbit hole alert.
They fixed the chainsaw in less than 60 seconds... The selector on the Inside had moved over a little...
They asked me to try it out some more and if it happens again they'll give me a new one... I made 3cuts with it and so far so good so we'll see...
They did give me a free chain for the inconvenience... Same thing that came with it... A safety chain... But Im happy work a free backup regardless lol
I have no idea - but if you PM me your address I can help feed your addiction with something homemade.
nothing wrong with safety chain - and if, as you get more used to using the saw/comfortable with the dangers inherent in its use, you feel the need, you can file down the bumps that keep the saw from taking a deeper bite than the motor can safely handle.
if you ever decide you want the ultimate in cutting ferocity, go with a full chisel "ripping" chain -- the teeth have a 5 degree skew instead of 25 degree. extremely aggressive.
it's what I got to use on my Husky 372 xp for sawing logs into beams -- or the first cut on a log to make a flat surface for the sawmill to ride on.
So this came in today.

Eta:. Check out the Clam Spoon Boxes. I ordered one and I think it's gonna be really nice to keep organized and to keep spoons from getting buggered up.
