I was hoping someone would take the bait on the shoes but I'm impatient today haha. This is what a pair of Louis Vuitton's looks like from a blades memeber [emoji13]

I couldn't remember what I put in there but I knew it wasn't shoes lol! I've only had a few Yirgacheffes but this one to me seems more full bodied and less flowery than ones I've had before.

Went with the chemex, single serve. I've not had a yirgacheffe with such a pronounced fruit flavor! This is a very pleasant roast, very enjoyable.

Is that the Legos in the back ground?

It's the Lego dimensions game haha. Target had it on sale for $30 down from 90. I love Lego's, and I liked the Star Wars Lego games years and years ago so I though I'd give it a go. Don't game much these days but who knows haha.

Very nice sir! It's a highly caffeinated roast. More so than the Mzuzu, and the profile is a fair bit different. In one of the test batches I dropped the finish temp on accident when I was lower the gas level. Turned out to be very interesting so I kept the profile and ended liking it after drinking it over a few days.

I think I still like the Mzuzu the best, but all four you sent are really good. It's interesting that you came up with that by accident. After trying a little bit of roasting with those Columbian Narino Supremo beans that I posted a few pages back, I see how much of a difference the roast makes. I've tried coffee from many different origins of various roasts, but tasting the same beans roasted to different levels makes it really apparent how the roast affects the flavor.

I also think that switching to pour over as my primary brewing method and using fresher coffee has vastly improved my appreciation of lighter roasts.

I had some green coffee extract this morning and it had a much cleaner feeling stimulation than roasted coffee, anyone else experienced this

It never gave me any sensations personally, but I may have dosed to low. If I use extracts it's usually ginseng, eluthero, guarana, or maté.

It was actually in a powdered cold drink mix from Starbucks but I didn't feel like brewing since I fell on some ice so I thought what the heck, and I felt the cleanest energy I've ever felt from caffeine

Cool. You should try Yerba Maté. It has an isotope of caffeine that's very effective and slightly euphoric. The green coffee you had may have very well had maté in it.

I've tried it a few times in manufactured preparations and didn't notice any effects. Would you recommend I get the herbs and make it myself, or do you think I didn't consume enough of the store bought beverages?

The store bought stuff usually has levels that are far to low. Get yourself the dried leaves (a lot of tea wholesalers carry it, don't get the roasted variety.) If you want you can do the old school preparation with a Gourd and Bombilla. You can also just brew a strong cup of tea.

This is my set.

I made a couple of cups of my gifted coffee this morning. It smelled and tasted, awesome!

Thanks again for the really cool gifts! :)

Monofletch's package should be arriving tomorrow. Merry Chistmas!
