Coffee

I bought a baratza coffee grinder online. It was from Kean coffee, purchased with a stolen credit card. I was contacted by Karen Diedrich, we pieced together what happened and caught the bad guy. For my help she sent me some Kean coffee(Kenya Lenana). I've tried several kinds now and have enjoyed it all. They have quite a coffee history!
KELAMA, From your location I hope you like the ocean...(hint). I've been lucky enough to travel around Japan several times and love the scenary, culture and art. It's been a wonderful Christmas so far...thank you all and Monofletch for organizing..

That's a sweet stag Northfield, Kelama. The #73 is one of GEC's most popular patterns. This 2 blade version with almond bone covers was my first from them. It's my version of coffee with cream.;)

My cuban girlfriend put me onto Cafe Bustelo in an espresso pot.... never looked back. Buckle up.

I found a box when I got home. Since I was the last one- I had to open it. The contents are as follows..... That is a sweet t-shirt on the bottom! The flashlight is really, really nice- it is titanium. I'm not sure what the item is called that the knives were rolled up in, but I love it. All the gifts are GREAT! Thank you!!

I recognized the Stumptown name from Sprudge I think and was good, but the Califa was even better; a Colombian which ime tastes cardboardy 9/10 times, but the other 1/10 tastes amazing so I always take a chance.

Glad you're enjoying it, Ryan. How did that cold brew turn out for you?

Thanks again for getting this all started and organized, John. It seems like we all gave and received some really nice gifts. Thank you to everybody who participated for making this so much fun.

No problem. We met some new people and had some fun. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!!

I haven't actually tried the cold brew yet. I set it up in the fridge and it is still brewing. The temps here have been below zero, so when I'm grabbing coffee, it is definitely of the hot variety! It won't hurt to have it sit in the fridge longer I am assuming?

It's been my experience that after about 4 days the insoluble part of the grinds start to dissolve which makes your filter clog faster but I use regular coffee filters so not sure how yours would handle and i think the coffee just gets stronger over time although I found my sweet spot to be between 2 & 3 days

I think it has been 4 days now. I will have to try it tonight. After all, it's supposed to be a balmy 34 degrees here today.
