JGarth ...

I already found a spot that , if you buy more then 1 it's under 30.00 bucks !

A few $$$$ ?I have a few monkeys on my back already and there names is guns , mags and ammo !!! ;) Now knives !, it's getting heavy .....:(

CML,

I'm glad you found a nice site for them.
I also like it that you are keeping it a secret, so no one else can get them there.
Very thoughtful on your part.

JGarth

Thanks !!! Damn that cost more then the knife I'm getting ....;)

I paid like $20 for my G.I. Tanto shipped. The Spec Ops sheath was $29.99 from the PX and I also bought $10 worth of Coyote Tan 550 cord to match the sheath. So I put twice as much money into a knife than I paid for it. Ain't it great. Hi John.

JGARTH, After you take the screw out of the spec ops sheath how do you retain the liner? Does it stay put pretty well without it? Thanks (Nice handle wrapping you do)

Damn ....are you jokeing ? I'll give the site out , but I don't have the site tag !, since I don't have the cash yet !

Thanks again for your help !!!:)

wingchun74: Cool... I'm glad you got one and you like it. I agree it is one of the best deals out there. The tip is slim and very sharp it should penetrate various items with ease.

Scrateshooter. It is great when you pay more for a few upgrades then the knife itself. It is usually the other way around.

I have 2 Spec-Ops sheaths (the long and the short) When I got my GI Tanto,I first tried the long one,and it kind rattles. Just for laughts,I tried the short one. It fits like a glove,no rattles. Nice and snug. If I was in the Sandbox,I would use the shorter of the 2.

Eric N. Thanks..... good to know. I like my knives to fit in snug and rattle free.

JTC,
It will retain itself in there. It's pretty tight.
And if it loosens up over time, just inject some RTV between the liner and cloth.
JGarth

You can take the kydex liner out and heat it with a heat gun to shape it so it fits your knife tight. I used the big spec ops sheath.

Shooter,
Thats true, but I think one of them was concerned whether the kydex liner would be loose if you took the screw out..... mine weren't, but if they do...just shoot a very little RTV between the kydex & cloth .....
I used the short version on the CS GI Tantos (& std SOG Bowies) , and the long ones on my SOG Super Bowies and 8" Ka-Bars.
JGarth...

noss4: one more round of thanks for taking the time to put up these vids. Great job, and thanks for sticking around to answer questions!

I wanna see how much the Cold Steel Recon Tanto can really take...I keep that one in my car as my overkill emergency knife

tradja: Your welcome :) I'm here to answer all questions as best I can. Thanks

PatriotDan: Yes I have the SOG SEAL 2000 underwater desrtuction test coming
up with full video and sound. I have the Busse Battle mistress coming up as soon as I receive it. I have a custom made Leon Pugh CPM 3V coming up . Also the Glock Field knife. I have been very occupied with the SEAL 2000 knife test. This is the reason I haven't had to many lately.

hkbladelawhk: I have had many email requests for the Cold Steel Recon Tanto
I will add it to my to do list. I don't have a date yet when I will be able to do this but I will do my best to get it done.

Thanks

noss, you are an internet legend! That test with the BK9 was awesome also.
Your "partner" looks ridiculous in a very humorous way. :D
