Concerns About Survive! Business and Misleading Lead Time Estimates

Again, I don't have all the answers here, but (especially if they're working with a finite amount of money) I think it makes sense to focus on the knives in their various stages in the shop. If some models are almost done and some haven't even gotten started, why add more blade blanks to sit around? I can't imagine they could get to the 3.5's before next month even if they were finished being cut, so why start the cutting now if they wouldn't be able to give them attention for a few more months? I doubt this makes you feel better about the situation, but this part makes sense to me. I can't say that about everything going on right now.

The problem is, there isn't a finite amount of money though. Or, at least there shouldn't be. Remember that all the knives they have the steel for have been paid for in full.
 
My "bitching" as you put is for good reason. I used to be a happy Survive supporter and loyal customer. And, I have been nothing but, civil and calm here grog.

They'll survive without fair weather fans like yourself. Go cry in the GB&U thread, and don't darken our doors till you have something meaningful to say about them.

Then take your message out of this forum please. Don't like them? No problem. Take it to GB&U, but this is the forum for us poor deluded fools that support the company. We KNOW they're struggling to meet their deadlines. We just choose to accept that. We like to think that Guy and Ellie are good people, despite your character assassination, and don't you dare backpedal and and call it anything else. It is what it is.

I will gladly and happily move on as soon as I get my money back man(not that I need to follow your orders). I am only here right now for that reason. I dont need this extra stress in my life, especially over some silly knives. As for backpedaling, there will be none of that. Guy and Ellie might have started with the best of intentions but, your character is proven/determined by your actions and their recent actions are not very great imo and many others. It's a little bothersome that someone with 16 posts thinks he should spout off here. If you have a problem with the company please take it to GB&U.

This is a thread for concerns man, if you don't want to read our concerns then why don't you just stick to the other threads in this forum grog? Its not your place to tell us what we can and cant talk about here.

If there is one thing I have learned, it's that arguing over SK! regardless of your position is absolutely pointless and peeing in the wind.

However, even people that strongly disagree can come together over a mutually beneficial business transaction.
What ever happened to that topic of canceling an order and allowing another to pick up that order number transferal. Remember that discussion?
Is that still possible? I have some cancellations that have years vested in line that have the (Preorder discount).. Is there anyone here that would like to buy my slots? If Ellie would allow that?

I am not sure exactly what to say to that. I am glad you have faith man and I sincerely hope you get what you have ordered from SK! But, I dont have the same faith and have decided I don't want to be a part of this company any longer for a number of reasons that have been outlined in this thread. Now, just to add insult to injury after some of us followed many peoples advice on this forum and asked for a refund we are not getting it and are being lied to once again. I dont understand why you have so much anger towards me and others really just for having a difference in opinion and being justly upset. Anyway, I suggest you read my above post again. This thread is for concerns, you really don't have to read it if you don't want to.

The only thing smelling here, is the illogical defense of what's going on here. Is that the smell you're speaking of?

Your outright blatant personal insults in the family friendly portion of the forum is amusing, good grief, get a grip dude.

Your life doesn't depend on this, why the hostile attitude over people voicing concerns in a thread titled concerns? :confused:

I am sure every company doesn't but, when you tell customers it will happen in a couple or few days that should be plenty of time and you should stick to your word. You also shouldn't stop answering emails when they ask what is going on. We are going on 10 or more days for some of us and I dont think its unreasonable for some to be upset. Especially when it appears that they are ignoring the posts and threads on here about it as well.
You answered my question. I get there is plenty to be unhappy about, but I wanted to know if the discontent because of waiting on refunds came from waiting in general or more because there was a time frame mentioned and not followed through with.

I meant to say if they need handles and sheaths for knives that are I there shop, their resources might be better spent on finishing what they already have and are currently working through than getting more stuff to wait in line in the shop. Not sure if I'm explaining myself any better or not............
