Concerns re: ssbood (David)?

I've paid him using Paypal goods....so I just file a dispute. Paypal will send him a notice which I believe will get his attention. This doesn't look good, selling the same knife from one thread to multiple BF members is a sign of fraud. Then not responding to emails.

I may have missed something here but it seems to me as if ssblood only sold each knife once as you bought the blue MILITARY and itn369 bought the blue Paramilitary... Not saying he is in the clear or anything just striving to clarify the situation for my own benefit.

I initiated a dispute claim with my credit card company. In the slim chance that the knife arrives today, I'll cancel the CC investigation.
 
I am the buyer #6.

I googled and found David's office number. Called and tried to connect with him yesterday and today. The very unfriendly lady definitely knows him. She told me the company does not exist. When asked about David, she hanged up. Maybe she did not like my accent.

I don't want to violate forum privacy rules by publishing the company name/phone.

Bad signs:

1. All transactions in questions started last week Sep 12
2. There were no knife photos in the listing
3. The email address was cancelled the same day the first knife should arrive
4. The member ssblood "specified that they do not wish to receive emails" when clicked link Send email to ssblood
5. ssblood visited forum yesterday, 12:56 PM about 6 hours after ltn369 started this thread and never responded.

Good sign:

1. ssblood never sold the same item twice.

Edited: he did sold blue Paramilitary twice based on later posts.

I am filing the paypal resolution.

I too have been awaiting a shipment from David. I have attempted to contact him several times with no response. I have filed a paypal dispute and will go from there. Luckily I'm only out $28 either way.

I had considered giving David the benefit of the doubt, but just read where he purchased a Hinderer on the 16th of this month. This may or may not be indicitive of an issue, but it's a red flag for me.
 
This message email from ssblood prompted me to make an immediate payment at 1:49am, Sunday, 9/15.

"Thanks. Please make payment at your earliest convenience in the morning as this knife was being sold like it was to finance another purchase on my end.

Maybe there's a connection between him gathering money from me to fund the referenced Hinderer. Talk about salt on a wound as I hear about this....

Let me clarify, i paid for both! The blue para & blue Millie. I sent email asking by any chance still available and he said yes so I pay for both. I admit I sometimes use gift option to save a few bucks. But this time I use Goods.

That was the first sign! I email him Sunday before you post I take it. I ask if still available and he said yes so I pay. But I never log back in to view sales thread. So he sold to both of us.
 
So after I send him funds for the blue para on Sunday, he posted a blue Millie on Monday, he reply to my email saying still available so I pay him. I even ask that he can ship together and save shipping cost. Tuesday & Wednesday no tracking number? No reply to my email. But he happen to list a Military Titanium for sale? So he has time to list a for sale thread but not respond the my request for tracking number. So I PM him.... This was his last reply to me.

They were both mailed Tuesday and you should receive them Friday or Saturday. I don't have the tracking numbers in front of me right now, think they are actually in the truck but I'll send a PM back asap with them. Sorry for the delay in sending those to you but I've been extremely busy and everything is hectic at work.

I also want to thank RedDevil and Esav. Having the mod presence here is definitely really helpful.

That being said, I'm trying really hard to avoid speculating or furthering any so-far unfounded accusations. But I think it'll be a telling sign if "estate4life" gets his package today or tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'll just keep my mouth shut until we get any more clear facts.
 
First, selling one knife to two BF members is not logically possible. Unless he has two.

2nd..I pay using Paypal goods, so if he printed shipping label using Paypal shipping system, Paypal will have record. Nothing.

Not answering email, but still able to make time to list new items for sell...no good.

I'll let you guys know if package show today or tomorrow.....sigh...

BTW: Tks mods for support...they go above and beyond to protect BF members.
