Condor Golok, when's it going to be in stock again?

How about if all of us who have been waiting patiently, without canceling our orders, be considered good guys. :)
 
Just ordered one from Smokey Mountain. They're not listed on the internet, but I called and the woman answering said they were on the floor at the store and could be ordered by phone. $25 plus $8 shipping. Two weeks for delivery.
Will let you all know when it arrives.

Hmmm. They're on the floor in the store, but two weeks for delivery? Sounds a little fishy to me. How are they shipping, Pony Express? Usually when I order from them, it's 2-3 business days for shipping.

Please do keep us posted! There are a lot of folks interested in those things. :thumbup:
 
Last time I checked most folks were expecting them in around the 28th. ;)
 
SMKW is a great place. I have ordered, and visited the store. Wonderful place, and the people that work there are actually knowledgeable.

Oh I agree. I've ordered from SMKW plenty of times, and they've done right by me every time. It just seems odd that they'd tell someone that their delivery date is two weeks out for something they have in stock- when their delivery time is almost always less than one week. Especially when there are already numerous pre-orders on said item. :confused:
 
Someone just PMed me saying they got theirs in the mail from there today.

Hey Joe

I ordered my Golok from SMKW the Thursday before Thanksgiving, and it arrived today. It did take nearly two weeks, and with their free shipping over $50, they sent it via UPS to my PO which delayed things a bit. I have been waiting for this for I don't know how many months.

It is beautiful! From handle mounting to edge quality she is a winner. The edge looks like it was sharpened on Horn Dogs belt sander! It really looks like it was worth the wait. I hope you guys are patient enough to give this one a try as I am sure you will be well pleased. She is not as heavy as I thought she would be, but can tell she will be fast in the hand and both a great chopper and superior slasher.

Ok, so I am holding the blade out at arms length and the blade is bent!!!!!!! It sweeps 1/2" to the left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:barf::confused::mad: I have waited on this thing for months and now I see that it is cobbed. Edge looks great, fit and finish is nice.....but bent!
 
Goodness! Send that back! They ought to take care of you right quick. :o

I just hope that the Golok is popular enough for Condor to invest in a plastics mold to do polypropylene handles for them. I'm crazy about their polypro handles.

You can always stick it in a vise and bend it a little bit. You shouldn't have to of course, but if you think that that the bend will impede it's use, try it.
