CRKT just blew my freaking mind.

I quite like the CRKT's I've had. Still have a Hissatsu 1, which by the way has the handle shape that works for bigger paws. No finger grooves. Glad the Eraser is working for you bro, like I said, it's a nice knife.

At around 4:13 you finally said what I was thinking for most of the video, you are impressed with detent. While that is important for the knife to flip well I could never get to that level of excitement over value knife. I will say from my first experience with CRKT, which was early on as a knife enthusiast, I though they put out a great product for the price.

ive handled the eraser, and the quality was high. this is a nice knife for a good price. there is a black blade version as well that also looks nice.

Update: After taking it apart to clean it (as is customary) and take out the lawks (because why not), I found that it developed a teensy amount of blade play... but the lock was suddenly dead in line with the leftmost edge of the tang. It suddenly had earlier lockup.

So, I put the lawks back in, and, magically, no play (as I expected; lawks is positioned ON the pivot, sandwiched between two washers on the lock-side of the knife. removing something that takes up space on the pivot = play), but the lockup remains at the earlier position. Weird. Now, other than the centering, it's damned perfect.

Ive read that some do not like the LAWK nor the placement...its a hot spot for the thumb. I found that I use the LAWK as purchase for my thumb instead of Jimping, a little extra security so your thumb/hand wont slip forward.
I am glad that someone else here likes this knife too.

Aye, CRKT has been consistently well-made, and always seems to live up to the hype. I had a Swindle, and, aside from the pocket clip, it was a fantastic knife. I've handled a Foresight that had been severely misused, and it was still extremely well made and flipped open easily with rock-solid lockup. I have a CRKT Tighe Coon (visible in the video) that has excellent flipping action and lockup.

On the whole, though, I'm a steel snob at heart. Some people say the blade steel isn't all that important, but I would put forward that the part of a cutting tool that does the cutting is probably the most important part of a cutting tool. As such, with their unfailing usage of unimpressive steels, this will probably be the only CRKT I keep.

**EDITADDENDUM: I have some other knives with cheap steel - my most-used knife of all time is far and away my Cold Steel Tuff Lite. However, I only paid $15 for that off the 'bay. I would never have purchased the Eraser for the typical retail price of $80+. At $50-55, however, it becomes a really good value.

As far as the excitement goes, it's just sheer shock. I've been hunting for good manual flippers high and low, so to have a knife that I purchased entirely on a whim blow EVERY OTHER FLIPPER out of the water caught me off guard like nothing else. Also, the lockup being perfect does a lot for me.

Other than their heat-treat of their AUS-8, I've been impressed with all of the CRKT's I've had. I've owned at least fifteen different models, and the fit & finish on all was excellent. Blade steel . . . not so much. Easy to sharpen, but didn't hold an edge for long.

My brother has a few benchmades and spydercos, but he perfers to carry CRKT all the time. I've seen him do some pretty abusive things with em and they always work fine afterwards.

Man I may just have to get another CRKT, or another flipper in general. I wound up giving away both of my flippers, my CRKT Ripple to a former friend and my Buck Vantage to my brother who was carrying a el-cheapo. Eraser here I come!

I like crkt very much.
They have great variety of designs.
And quite good quality, if you know what to avoid :)

Can't wait what they will show for Shot show.

I got a CRKT M16-14T for a Christmas present, not really a flipper, I mean it's designed (poorly) to be a flipper, but it isn't.

CRKTs site says something about changing the image of their brand. I'm pretty curious as well.

It does flip very smoothly, has a pretty heavy blade too. This one locked up tight at first then developed a bit of lock rock, from just flipping it.

Of all of the flippers I've owned, I would say only the Matt Cucchiara El Dorado and the HTM Gunhammer Maxx Glide could come close to that flipping action, and they were substantially more expensive. Consider me impressed.

My favorite part: the "neeah" noise after every failed flip :D

Is that knife really over 10 ounces?
