Cult of the peanut , members

I'm very excited to say that today, finally, I have joined the cult! This little baby is a beaut.

A hearty welcome to you! Congrats on owning a true classic

Love that patina

Hmmm, my phone is acting hinky. I thought I quoted this in my last post also? Thank you:):):):thumbup::thumbup:

And the bone on the Carhartt is very cool looking, any pictures of the pile side?

Been awhile since I posted why do I get multiple emojis when I put one? Must be something new or a glitch?

Pete

Liking those Carhartt peanuts.

Not to risk the wrath of the mods because I have no idea if they have a presence here dealer-wise, but a certain mountain-dwelling mail-order dealer Case is often associated with has some really cheap deals on the Case Carhartt knives. I am probably going to get my first peanut in addition to some other patterns which as of yet don't enjoy much representation in my collection.

FYI, they aren't a dealer member and whenever you aren't sure you can check here, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1089879-Paid-Dealer-Members-List.

Here are three nicely made vintage Jacks, presumed to be made by Schrade Cut Co. The third one is slightly larger - less than 1/4" longer.
I have a question for you cult members - is that third knife a Peanut, a "reverse" Peanut, or just a serpentine Jack?

The large one is 3" and the two "standards" are 2 7/8".

Here's some close ups of the Carhartt peanut. I think it's called dark molasses bone.

Either way, it's pretty nice looking. The lighter colored bone near the bolsters has a nice depth to it that is hard to catch in a picture.

Nice group of peanuts, Charlie!

Thanks, Jake! I added the measurements up there^!

Nice Case, D.B!

One of my first traditional knives that wasn't a "hand-me-down". Still a favorite for the watch pocket.

All nice legumes guys !!!

Lately this old 74 Derlin has been finding it's way into my pockets. Great knife that I picked up for next to nothing on that big internet site.

Well, I suppose my first post should be the knife I bought and carry almost every day because of reading this thread so much. Also, I've never taken a picture so nice as this one before.

That's a super peanut, Woodrow!
Jigged chestnut bone CV is a fantastic "series" from Case!

Shane, welcome to the traditional subforum; nice picture and good first post!
