That's not to say they green curly maple aren't beautiful, because the really are. I've been on a kick for bright covers lately and those are more classic and reserved.

That is 100% why Case is going to take every red cent of spare money GEC doesn't manage to extract in the next 7 months. :o

And because this thread's gone long enough without pictures...

I had my thumb jammed a couple weeks ago and it's still really hurting me. It's limited my knife selection for sure since many have a mid to hard pull. This little nut has a really lite pull on the main blade, so she's been getting some pocket time and use lately!

After a week in shorts, which are well-suited to the Peanut's size and shape, I went back to jeans today. Jeans can comfortably house almost any knife I own . . . and I still wound up going with the nut!

I really like these A. G. Russell pinched peanuts. The VG-10 I have on a few of his knives does a fine job. I've had my eye on them for awhile.

Captain O, he's got some available on his site. VG - 10 is speced at 59-61 rc.

That AG Russell is an awesome peanut, SA Condor! I hope your thumb feels better soon, but will you give up on that superb peanut then??

Me likey! I understand that once the VG-10 is sharp, it stays that way a long time.

I'd like to buy one, but would find it hard to relegate my Case Yellow Delrin CV to a box. (I know, ol' "Practical Pig" rears it's ugly head).

Give up?! No! However I have a sweet Dunlap that also demands my attention :)

Whoa! :eek::thumbup:
I see your dilemma, sir! Definitely a nice problem to have, trying to share time between an awesome Russell Peanut and an outstanding Dunlap custom peanut!:cool:

Here's a Case CV yeller peanut, together with a Boker "peanut", though they call it a "pen knife". I've had the Boker for a few months, but have not gotten around to posting it.

The Boker is kind of a super peanut with Grenadill, aka African Blackwood, covers and 440C blade steel. It's a limited edition made to celebrate Boker's 145th anniversary. In recognition thereof, they only made 145 of them. Mine is number 107. Cute little bugger marked "Manufactured in Solingen". The single blade takes a great edge. Fit and finish are very, very good. Makes a great dress knife.

Thanks, Frank. Now I'm jealous! :o  I keep going to a well-known vendor on the web and mull over picking up a Boker-plus Barlow.

You keep me wishing (and spending money)!

Somebody stop me. I didn't need this but geez it's pretty. Trappernut with scrolled bolsters.

Last month, I bought a Case Half Whittler, and I loved it. This little gem popped up on the exchange for milk money, so I jumped on it. The teak covers are really cool, they have the vibrance of bone but the smooth disposition that wood commands. And I really love the shield that it's wearing, kinda unique.

- Dude, that little guy rocks. I found one for sale and might have to snag it. I happen to love 440C in little slipjoints like these.

So this is the current state of my nut obsession. This includes the 5 blade casein olive green bone, the case trappernut and a schatt & morgan stag peanut. There's also a buffalo horn in there. Everything else is pretty self explanatory.

Marvelous mixed nuts, duderubble!!
The buffalo horn is jigged? I don't think I've seen that before (but I don't get out much).

Yes, jigged buffalo horn. One of my favorites. In the top 10 anyway.
