Cult of the peanut , members

Here's my small collection of peanuts for your viewing pleasure.......more on the way to me as I write this. I'm expecting a Case smooth chestnut and a Case brown delrin.

Case yellow, Case Bradford Jigged Goldenrod, Case 2229 1/2 Black Synthetic, Camillus 21, Kabar 1056.

Mittey fine collection. That bottom brown one with a swedge and a pointy pen looks nice

Peter, that red bone Case in the middle is perfect. I like the style and location of the nail nick on the older peanuts better than the current setup.

This one has been in and out of my pocket for some time. It's been posted to death, but here's another Yellow Delrin CV Peanut, IMO it's one of Case's most venerable patterns, in one of the most practical, aesthetically pleasing handle/steel combos of all time.

Here it is next to another favorite minimalist's tool of mine, an IMCO Junior.

Thanks Ed....I agree with you on the nail nick. Not sure why they would have changed that.

While snapping photos of my Case 6292 jacks this afternoon, I decided to pull the peanut out of my pocket and take a few updated shots of it.

I wish the chestnut bone peanut came without a shield, so both sides looked like this. I think it looks so much better this way on small knives.

Turk, I hope it comes back around. I lost my Case chestnut bone peanut, tore apart the house and my truck looking for it. I found it when I pulled into my parking space at work the next morning. Right there where it jumped out of my pocket :).

Inspired by Peter's (pjake) CASE 65-69 "Nut" I broke mine out today and carried along with my Rust Red TC Barlow, tis a nice EDC combo.

Pardon the "off the leg" pic's, a little lower and it could've been "off the cuff" pic's:D

I know, I know my humor is as bad as my pictures:o

Maybe it will turn up in one of the many spots I've already checked 1000000 times "because it will definitely show up THIS time." If not, there is a knife shop on the way to where I trout fish at the beginning of every season. A new knife would be a perfect reason to take a break on a long drive.

Love my red bone CV nut:thumbup: Its with me almost everyday. I've been looking for a damascus nut for a good while now:(. Maybe oneday I'll find her, but until then my lil red CV will do me just fine. The more it ages the more I love it. There's something about the Peanut I'm drawn to so I would venture to say I'm a member of the Peanut Cult in every way:D

Paul...that's a good looking Peanut! Yup with a Barlow, nice edc!

^Wow, yeah I didn't even get to this page before I posted. Man Paul that is a sexy nut you have there, I really love that old jigging!!

Not necessarily a cult member, but I just got my first CV Peanut and here is a MOP Peanut with scissors that I got some years ago! Just a note but the edge on my Chestnut CV was pretty darn good and I just love Case bone!!!

I wish they would offer more cover options for the scissors version. I think all you can get now is stag and Caliber versions (and maybe a pink one? Not sure...)

The scissors are really handy! Especially with a bail on a neck cord while fishing! I dont play on taking the MOP fishing...lol!
