My simple change to my bk2

Not sure how I missed this, but that's a crazy patina. It almost looks 3D.

This thread is amazing. All of the work looks fantastic and makes me want to mod my Beckers some more!

Tons of inspiring stuff on here. Nice thread - great way to consolidate a lot of people's work.
Hawk, I love what you've done with that 7. Not sure I would have gone for the choil, but our uses may not be the same. Looks awesome just the same!

All I've done so far are scales and sheath for my 16. Clitch convexed and etched it first.

24 scales are a work in progress. May show up here later. I tried to force a patina, but the D2 wasn't having anything to do with it.

The BK-7 is just about completed. Just a small amount of satin polishing to do on the handle. I may make a slight modification to the pommel, not sure yet. The convex edge is razor sharp. It rivals my Blackjack Trailguide.

Dang that BK7 looks great hawkhead. The flat grind is quite good loking on a seven. Also the de-ramping is a must :)

Eero- My BK-7 has a full convex grind. It has taken me 3 years to finally like the deramping of some Beckers. It just depends on the style and intended use.

I have forgotten my first modified Becker knife from a few years ago. It is a BK-9 meat cleaver. Now that the warm weather has finally arrived it's grillin' with a Miller time and of course that cleaver will get plenty of use again this year.
The design was greatly influenced by a BF Forum member who reshaped his blade with a diagonal cut, I rounded mine. The choil and reshaped lower guard were recycled for my BK-7. The choil on the 9 made a big improvement in easier usage.

all right now you are just showing off...... :)

amazing work man.. that looks fun to cut with..

tman038- Thanks for looking, the cleaver is lots of fun to use.

worldwood- Thanks for looking. The ramp will most likely go this year. After 3 grilling seasons, it really is not needed for control although, the reshaping of the lower guard enables me to cut different vegetables and meats without the guard hitting first.
