I changed the swedge to resemble the type Randall has used. A new set of G10 scales are coming next week.

worldwood and camoninja- thank you

summit2g- your BK-9 is looking for a bus to chop, wood is too easy.

Thank you for your compliment. My BK-7 was just what I needed to get started after a difficult winter.

Hi Chameleonbear- By hand, really. After stripping, I looked at the knife for days and then started drawing the design changes. I would tweak the design until I was happy with the modifications. Then, out come the files and I start removing the blacked out areas. The convexed blade was a more intense undertaking. It rquired filing(diamond impregnated files), stoning, and finally emery cloth backed with an aluminum block and sanding with 220-320-400 wet or dry, black compound and buffing with a well worn scotch brite pad. The last part was easy, the G10 scales were from The Knife Connection. A custom sheath was ordered and will take about 6-8 weeks.
I have a bench grinder which I did not use on the Becker, but it is a requirement on my current project. I am completely changing a CRKT First Strike tanto into a hidden tang convex blade fighter. I use the T.L.A.R. principle: That looks about right.
Thank you for complimenting my work.

Great work, guys. Love to see knives that are made extra special with some time, ingenuity, and tools!

Is the knife in the middle a Camillus BK-9? That BK-5 is a wicked tanto. Good work.

It sure is. I've posted it around here a couple times before. It's a mix of a hand full of BK knives, pretty much everything that I liked from them. I still need to thin out the blade profile some. It's not biting as well as I'd like it to. Vic helped me out with the final grinding of it. The tanto BK5 was done by albert from Seattle edge. It's cool, but I don't use it very much; well not at all. :)

I still haven't found my pix of my BK16 yet. I put some curly oak scales on it. It's pretty damn awesome if I say so myself.

Well that's embarrassing!! I made that other account a long time ago and never logged in under it until last night. I forgot all about it. LOL Then I did it again today. I need to learn how to type again. :D
