Thanks man. I actually did the rough fit before I attached them then did all the final sanding, by hand, after I epoxied them on.

BK-9 Cleaver, Redone 4/13. Deramped, new jimping, stripped and recoated with Alumahyde 2. Stock Grivory scales reinstalled. I may install G10 scales later.

I just have to keep up on my therapy and augment it with some Becker time. The extra pain is worth it. Introducing my latest mod in progress. The BK-9 Heavy Fighter.

Gooooodnesssssss!!!!!!!!!! I never really thought too much about the 9, seemed too big for some reason. But now, I'm starting to warm up to the idea. As usual HH, awesome mods.

Cheers

That's amazing! What kind of scales are you thinking about?

Thank you MR3T and Luke. I will either redesign a completely new handle and hidden tang or go with TKC G10 scales.

I haven't done much actual modding, though I have some projects in the works. Most of what I've done is of the artistic nature.

Finalized the design of the handle and drew it to scale at 0330 this morning. The BK-9 will get a complete makeover with a hidden tang handle. That's all I can say for now. Due to slow healing from a miserable shoulder injury, this will be a long term project. I am paying the price for working on projects more than I should have.

Well take it easy and get well, really looking forward to what you come up with!

Picture of the planned hidden tang handle. It will be walnut with a 3/16" brass pin.
