Custom Knives At Work.

@Berno
You make me hungry, the cheese, bread and wine and Pata Negra looks very delicious!

Nice picture of your beautiful kids, they seem to share their fathers love for knives ;)

Berno takes the prize on this thread. It has everything, meat, cheeze, wine but The kids with the chicken and the bowie knife is priceless!

A special photo for Sam. My children with Sam lent for a photography session.
The hens of the neighbor are always alive....

Robino - The one I posted was shot then the backstraps cut with the knife, but there are plenty of folks here in south Texas who hunt feral hogs with dogs and knives. I wouldn't want to get that close, personally, but there are goodly numbers who do. :)

thanks to people like Sam Colt, A.R. Stoner and others, there is no good reason for me to hunt hogs with a knife. :) nice job on all of the working knife pics, btw

When the pigs are sized like dogs it does make it easier to "stick one" i guess...

Yes, I do and you are right; some of the hogs in Europe can be scary big. Though some American Razorbacks are not to be sneezed at either.

Ive hunted hogs in several European countries. Some countries dont even allow knife hunting per se. Germany for example allows you to use a knife only after you've shot it and might need to finish it off.

Here a pic from Poland:

Pig aint that big - car is small (it aint no Escalade ;-) )

Stalking huge hogs at night through the primeval forrests in Europe is a great experience.

Warthog hunting in Africa is recommended as well. I need to back there soon:

(This warthog isnt mine)

Ive hunted hogs in the US, Africa and several European countries, but only used your knife in the US for hogs.
Some European countries dont allow the use of a knife - at least not as the first step. You cant use it to finish off a hog though.
The pig sticker Bowie is a great knife, Lon. Im even more happy with it for every day that goes by and you know how much I liked it, when first I got it.:p Thanks for taking on the job - an awesome Bowie:D:thumbup:

"Merci" Geir, You are right, there are some good things in France. Iberian " Patta " Negra is really an excellent ham. I spent a lot of time to cut "shavings"....

"Merci" Bruce, I translated your message, and I believe to have seen a little of pride in looks of my children...

"Merci" Karl, I had made a lot Sam laugh with this photo....The hens less...

Great photos and great knives! I just recieved a few photos from some customers..

this is one of my SPK-7.5" in Osage Orange, still warm after processing a Beaver the customer trapped.

And this one from Lorien himself, this HUK is his design. Not sure if it did any of the work on the deer, looks pretty clean compared to the Beaver Shot

would you attempt to finish off a 300 kilo boar with a knife? I wouldn't...
