Here is a clip flip on a pretty neat knife by Kershaw called the Talon. I've only read about these until this one showed up in my shop. It opens like a Wave now thanks to the clip flip.

Hi STR,

Would you be able to post a pic of the Talon clip flip?

Thanks!

Steve,
Thank you. My Emerson Blackbird came in today - and the clip is absolutely perfect! I'm speaking aesthetically and perfomance. It places the knife perfectly in the pocket AND in the hand! It clips easily and securely in my pocket. I understand this puppy took a little extra effort, and I wanted to let you and everyone know how very happy I am about how it came out.

Thanks!

Winger I do apologize. I neglected to take a scan of the knife before shipping it back. I've been so busy as of late that in my state of feeling slightly overwhelmed I guess I completely spaced it.

Nukemkb. Its always nice when the customer is happy. Good show. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Put my Kershaw Talon in the mail to Steve on Monday, and it showed up on my doorstep today (Friday) with a trimmed and flipped clip!

Steve--I just wanted to post a big thank you. This looks and feels (and WORKS) great!

Hi STR I need your help with a Spyderco Military conversion to tip up low ride clip. Can ya shoot me a pm or email? Thanks

STR

Do you have a standard list of knives you can make a lowride clip for without sending the knive?

I would like one on my BM 690 and 960!

Thanks
Marthijn

If you guys haven't already get in touch with me in private and we'll work out the deals.

On knives I can mount clips to. The only ones I usually shy away from my friend are those that are sporting handles of hardened stainless or liners of the same. Once stainless is hard its near impossible to thread the holes with a small #2 size screw tap without snapping the tap apart and breaking off part of it in the hole. Needless to say that makes a big mess and I don't want to do that to someone elses knife so I pass on those most all the time. I have had minor success threading the thinner stainless but you will have to twist my arm pretty good to get me to do too many of those.

On another note. Here is a Buck 112 conversion I did for a forum member.

I gold anodized the clip to make it match up better to the brass. It looks better in person. My scanner never does the work justice.

Just knocked this one out for a forum member this morning. As ordered in blue jean blue using the original mounting holes from the factory clip.

I set it as low as I dare take it. Any farther and your hand feels it off the end so in order to make them feel as invisible to the hand as possible I make the bend just at or slightly below the first point that the clip would stick out at. You can see there is a slant to the top of the knife so some will stick out but it still sits significantly lower than it did with the factory clip.

The factory clip they stuck on the ATRs and the Lil Temp has to be the worst one I've seen offered from Spyderco. I just don't like the looks of them or the way they hold on dearly to your pocket. Just too much grip on every one I've seen IMO.

Hi Steven

I am interested in one of your clips for my PM. But I can't seem to access your details (don't think I have privileges yet). Can you let me have your email address please so I can get in touch.
Thanks

Not sure if you are the same person that I have a Para from currently that I'm working on or not but anyway, my email is Lgtfutatcableone.net. Of course use the @ sign in place of at and you will get me. I just did that for spammers.

Waved Military with one of my signiture blue jean blue low rider clips to convert it to tip up carry.

Two new jobs complete.

A CRKT S2 Waved for a customer as well as having the factory clip flipped around.

And the Spyderco Lil Temp equipped with one of the most difficult clips I've made yet. Made as "fat" as possible to the customers request. We'll call this one the fat boy low rider.

STR

STR you got mail, I had been thinking for a while now about beaver tail kinda clip, that's great!

Wondering If you can convert a Spyderco Military, CRKT Pesh Kabs & Buck Mayo TNT to tip up carry?

Phil, Kmha if I have not already touched base with either of you please contact me about your requests. Lgtfutatcableone.net

New one up today. This one is a Spyderco Police, Waved, with custom low rider clip and the flats of the blade bead blasted. I added the grip strip to aid me in getting a feel for the way the Wave mod works. Those all stainless ones are a bit slick sometimes and even more so in the cold. It was nippy here this morning.

Thanks Chuck.

One more low rider. This one for a low rider from the factory that the clip didn't suffice on. First one of these I've had for this job.

I call this one "stubby". A fat clip for a fat knife. I think they go well together. :D

That rocks Steve! You took my idea and made it in 3-D! Exactly what I wanted. I'll post more after I receive it!

*Received the knife in the mail today (10/4/06) and it is VERY comfortable in the hand. The knife would not have been carried by me with the factory clip. It will now be my EDC. I hope that tells the tale. Thanks again Steve. We will be doing business again in the near future.

All the best to you bro!

Leo G. :D

STR,

Do you have a list of knives that you can make clips for in-house without mailing a knife for measuring? I've got a Benchmade 806PE that I might want a clip made
