Custom Low Rider pocket clips

Here are a few more I just did up recently.

Yet another Waved BM420 Resistor that the 'Gotham Swedge' was left on for this one. Seen here beside my own BM HK 34 that I Waved for myself. Then we have two more low rider pocket clips, one for a MicroTech folder and another for a super fine Cucharia upgraded Frame locking Emerson Commander.

Jordan's Para Military converted to tip up carry with a custom made 'blue jean blue' low rider made to order.

Thanks Jordan.

Another classic oldie and user brought up to date with a new thumb stud and custom made and mounted pocket clip in blue jean blue. This is a well used BenchMade 505 Monarch.

I did this one for a forum member and also gave the Dodo some new clothes in the way of natural canvas micarta scales.

She really rides nice in the pocket now.

I had never seen one of these Civilians other than in pictures before. What a large intimidating knife these things are. Now they open in a flash too. I did a Wave to each for a couple of forum members.

They work really well. Surprised even me and I'd thought I'd seen the best Waves out there. One of these was a near mint ATS55 version. The other a VG10 blade. Both bit me doing the Wave mods too. Not too terribly bad though :D

Just another couple of low riders.

Some guys have contacted me asking me if the BenchMade clip like that on this 551 Griptilian could be replaced with a low rider using the original factory mounting holes. Well, here is the answer. Yes it can!

Thanks for looking.

I have not. Usually I need to see pics of the clip side and know certain details about the knife like the material the handle scales and liners are made of.

Show me pics and we'll go from there.

I notice that since the blade forums crash of 06 that the attatchments (pictures) are not showing in any of my previous posts. So since they were not showing anyway I no longer kept the attatchments and deleted them all to start fresh. If someone wishes to see one of the clip pictures from a past post just ask and from this post on I'll be posting pics again as I do them for forum members.

Thanks

Have a few more to add to the thread here. Most of these are ones I made for knives I upgraded to titanium liners and micarta scales for forum members. One is a low rider that I just did today for a Calypso Jr. Burgundy ZDP. Rather than have him mail me the knife I used one of the old scales from one of the past upgrades and fit it to that. Then I tried to match the color best I could by anodizing it. I think it turned out pretty good. Rides nice and deep now too.

The others are
1) Tasman Salt upgrade in bead blasted aluminum

2) Burgundy CJ upgrade in titanium and Ivory Micarta

3) Dodo upgrade in titanium liners and green canvas Micarta

4) Atlantic Salt upgrade in titanium liners and maroon canvas Micarta

Thanks for the business guys.

This is yet another upgrade to a Buck folding hunter. I've always liked the Buck 110 but its a bit heavy for pocket carry although I've done some of those this way as well. The 560 was a great step in the right direction by Buck to make the same footprint more convenient to EDC in a lesser weight but with my added tweak of a custom gold anodized low riding pocket clip mounted for tip up carry and the addition of a thumb stud for easy one hand opening its now even better.

This one needed some tang of the blade removed to allow it to open easier. There was entirely too much tension on the blade for a thumb stud when it arrived but after some minor surgery it is now a good easy opener sporting a new adjustable stainless 1/8 pivot pin.

Thanks for looking.

Could you post a pic of this one again?

Thanks,
Danny

Ok sure. I am sorry that I lost all those old pics with the crash when the site went down.

The guy I did these for is obviously left handed but the clip flipped around just like the original only it used two of the original three holes leaving an extra screw in the bag the knfie came in.

If you want this contact me and I'll work it out with you. I'll need the knife to do it though.

I've had a couple of guys ask me about doing this job here. I finally got one in the mail and finished it to the owners specs.

Left hand tip down carry, bead blast the scales and new clip and make up a plate to fill in where the original clip mounted and bead blast that also.

Turned out pretty good. If the other gentleman that asked me about this sees this post please re send your info and questions. I lost my emails a while back during a power outage and did not get to reply to you before losing them.

Thanks for looking.

A few more low riders on some folders I have never seen before. This little Ka-Bar Dozier designed folder is surprisinlgy nice. Even more so now that it can ride on a pocket instead of in it.
