Custom SAK modder - HAIII Alox and Ti conversions - Pic Heavy examples

Ditto... Would love to see an example of the black oxide coating you do.
And would you consider coating blades other than saks.

Yep I got a guy who can do the hot caustic BO on stainless. Not something you should DIY at home, so I pay a pro to do this in a lab for me. I still do small runs of BO but it costs more per part than say getting the hard anodize done. I love how black tools look with the orange or white cerakote scales though! :D

Here's parts from the last big batch I did.

Here is a white scaled with black tools one.

I gotta show off this beefy beauty. Blue hard anodize, brass liners and a 154cm blade you could pry open a door with... :D

Syph, you rock! I'm still loving my 8-bladed Alox that you made earlier this year. You are the master!

Well here is a first for me... a 93mm with a fish scaler :D I even surface ground down a spring to 0.060" to work perfectly with it. Its a very thin layer. To give you some perspective, the pliers layer in a swiss champ has liners that are 0.050" thick.

This one also has the seldom requested natural hard anodize which is a matte gray color. It works really well with red liners.

Hey guys I wanted to build some display models, so I put together a pioneer + scissors mod in each of the colors of hard anodize that I run.

Hopefully having the 4 colors pictured together will make it easier to get any idea of how each color looks.

Those 4 colors are all that I run in hard anodize, but I also do white and safety orange in cerakote. I'm making myself some display models with those colors next to have a full group shot.

Cheers

Very nice! Maybe I'll be picking up one of these soon. Is it possible to put a phillips head tool on these instead of the can opener?

ETA: Judging by your pics above, it looks doable.

I DO APPRECIATE all the pictures, other than that...I would have to scour google images etc. and collect all the info. I think other makers or ones that provide services should do just as you did in formatting your post. I now have it saved and when I pull the trigger you are the one who gets my business.

Incredible work and pics IMO. Forgive me for not knowing this for sure but does one buy their own SAK and then send it off to you? Have you listed your prices for particular pieces and I just haven't come upon them yet? I was always curious if one didn't publicly give their prices because it was a competition thing. Thanks.

Syph, where in Canada are you located? PS, how do I get one of these... with a clip?

All very nice work. Question: my all-time favorite EDC is the 108mm Victorinox Safari Trooper with its thicker, longer tools/blade and a lanyard hole through the handle slabs instead of the dinky lanyard ring, but I wish it had the greater visibility of my safety orange G10-handled knives. Would you be willing to put Safety Orange cerakote slabs on a couple of my Victorinox Safaris? You can PM me here on Bladeforums.
Thanks!

I concur, are you still making the stormtrooper?

Hi yep I still make them. I have more parts out for BO right now and enough scales to make another 10. There were more popular than I thought and it has been hard to make them fast enough. Shoot me an email if you want a quote for one.
