Custom Variants of the Diskin Fire for Blade Show

Eric. Get in touch with Joe P. As soon as there are more available he will hook it up for you.
Matt

Cool move, Matt.

Many makers would benefit from having an agent to explain features/answer questions, take orders and reassure customers when orders run behind delivery dates.

Joe will do a great job for you, as he does for many other makers.

here is a list of things that I really like about this knife;
-perfect size for a large, locking folder
-built tough, not at the expense of utility, but definitely tough enough to do anything reasonalbe you'd do with a large folder
-excellent grip due to the milled carbon fiber scales
-excellent ergononics; I like a contoured, rounded handle and the combination of that plus a full backstrap makes this the most hand friendly folder I've encountered thus far
-just the right pocket clip allows for carry deep in the pocket which protects the knife when you brush up against things. Also it's just the right size, and it looks good!
-the knife looks good open or closed, when closed, everything lines up
-smooth as glass, and the stepped thumb stud allows for easy and fast opening
-premium materials!
-edge geometry is bang on, nice acute edge and a fine point
-blade finish is super cool, kind of a tumbled then polished finish
-lots of neat features, like a steel lock bar face insert and other cool stuff

Thanks Matt and Joe!
It's very much appreciated :)

Glad it got there and I knew you would like it :)

Matt really is an excellent designer and artist in many ways. He over thinks everything and we all benefits from it :) Feature for feature you will not match this knife for double the price

I will be posting up the three different carbons DISKIN USA will be using for the time being

One is standard CF

A Cross weave or unidirectional

lightning Strike while supplies last

A large amount of the high end Carbon out there is coming from DISKIN USA

The layup process is everything in the quality of the finished product and Matt has really evolved his process to provide a superior product

The Fire deserves all the accolades it is getting but these are limited mid tech run knives and will not be around forever

This knife has been picked up by one of the big companies. i am sure they will do a great job but it will not be the practically custom piece that you are getting here. Like any great designer Matt's mind must move on and with the flipper coming out soon production of the fires will slow done and eventually end. I don't know when but that fact alone is sure to make the collectibility of the Fire a certainty

DISKIN USA like any great company must evolve and continue to grow by coming out with quality innovative well done projects

So when the fires are gone they might really be gone :)

Been carrying for the past couple weeks, it has broken into my favorite folder thus far, and I have owned quite a few. At first the knife feels extremely solid but a bit hard on the fingers, I actually wasn't able to disengage the auto release without using two hands. However, after much handling the knife becomes buttery smooth, easy to open/close/flip/actuate yet it still remains just as solid as the first day you receive it. I am impressed, big time. I hope to pick up some more of Matts work in the future. And Joe you are the man, thanks for always keeping us up to date and making sure we get these awesome knives in our hands.

You guys are killing me... I'm waiting on my Fire. From the sounds of it, once I get the Fire I'll start carrying a folder vs. my normal small fixed EDC on my belt. :)

Guys

Here is the different carbons
